I don't have an opinion on brand only design. Get one with a movable front wheel and not a fixed wheel. The fixed wheel type you have to keep picking up the front and changing directions! A.
I am getting ready to buy a baby jogger and would greatly appreciate any recommendations on which one to get - there are so many choices. Thanks!

We have the BOB Revolution and like it a lot. It handles great and is built to last. The front wheel can be fixed for running, or you can let it pivot for walking around town. The only negative is that the seat is kind of like a sling, so the baby isn't as supported as in the stiff back strollers, but probably all jog strollers are made this way. Stay away from Phil & Ted's, they are great looking (look cooler than the BOB, IMO) but some of the reviews are really bad.
I have the Baby TRend EXpedition jogging stroller. I love it. It runs smooth and has the front wheel that you can lock in place or let it swivel when you use it for other things.
It really depends on your budget and if you will be using it for running or walking. For running my favorites are Mountain Buggy Urban and Zooper, then there is BOB and Phil and Teds. Last year I got an $800 jogger(double), just to find out that $100 one from Walmart works just as well for walking I was doing..... http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=8466652
I love my BOB. It's a little pricey, but smooth as can be. And my son loves it too!
What is your budget? How much are you really going to use it for jogging/running? Or are you just wanting a jogging stroller because they are sooooo great???
I bought the Schwinn Free wheeler with a swivel front wheel. (I actually bought it off ebay) but you can buy it from the Costco website, even if you are not a club member.
You need the big wheels if you are even thinking about jogging with it. If you are a serious runner, I would buy one with the larger stationary front wheel. The swivel wheel is nice, but a locked one is recommended for running and even jogging, it is safer if you hit a rock or curb etc. The swivel is great for in the mall. I would personally not buy one with 3-12inch wheels. I looked at one at ToyRUs and put my 45 pound 5 year old in it and pushed him up the aisle. I thought it was going to tip over sideways! That quickly sold me on the 16 inch wheels in the back!
Inside the sun hood of this stroller, there is a wind/rain visor zipped inside. Which is great if it is windy, it protects my son from getting the wind in his face.
The only thing I don't like about this stroller is the small basket underneath. It is too small for trips to the mall. I end up hanging the diaper bag from the handles or I carry a backpack instead. There is a small zipper compartment that is on the back of the seat that works great for diapers and wipes when I am out walking.
I did alot of reading and looked at alot of different strollers before i bought one. I wasn't all that concerned about the small basket on mine (althought a bigger one would be nice)...but I love love love this stroller!!! I love the wind shield, I love the removalbe tray, I love the swivel wheel, I love the shocks, and I love the big wheels. I would have bought a BOB, but for the price difference, I can't imagine there being that much more to offer with the BOB. My son is 6 months and loves this stroller more than I do!
Oh I almost forgot...Aluminum strollers are lighter than steel and they wont rust like steel. Good luck!
E.,
My husband is a marathon runner and his running group bought us the "Bob" jogging stroller. Our 10 month old looks great in it and does have a good time when she goes our with daddy. Enjoy this time with your duaghter.

I love, love, love my Valco Runabout stroller. Its not one that many people have ever heard of, but I had looked and looked at jogging strollers in the store, and went to purchase a phil and teds on craigslist, but it sold, and her friend had a Valco (which I never heard of). I did some research and looked at features vs. the phil and teds and the city mini (two of our top picks) and the Valco surpassed both of them.

This is the one I bought. It comes with a rain cover, a bag that zips off the back (perfect for cell phones, keys, etc), a zipper that will take a bug/sun screen ($20 extra), and the storage space on the bottom is awesome. There is even a zipper in the storage bin so you can dig inside if it is full, and the side pockets on the bottom bin are great too. And the particular one I bought came with a free footmuff and diaper bag (an extra $120+ value). I think they have another color for the same price on that website, if you don't like the pink (although I love it, for a girl).
One other thing that is nice is that you can buy a toddler attachment so that the stroller seats 2 (much like the other jogging strollers). I think its only $50 or so -- the accessories seem much cheaper than Phil & Ted's or BOB strollers.
Phil & Teds:
Pros: beautiful, steady, easy to manuever, well made
Cons: Cost, technique to fold it
City Mini:
Pros: inexpensive, simple design, one hand fold
Cons: Not as smooth as Phil & Teds, cheaply made comparatively
Valco:
Pros: price in between both city mini & P&T's, extras included (extra cost for other strollers), nice shocks, easy to manuever, storage space fantastic, accepts bob drink holder, zip in sun/bug screen available (other strollers look hokey w/ a sunscreen), handle is infinitely adjustable
Cons: Can be the same price as Phil and Teds...although the one I bought was much cheaper from albee, large wheel base -- its a big size and you'll most likely hit some doorway jambs :) (Although I'm sure its the same with the other strollers...I never took them out any doorways when I tested them in the store).
Hope this helps. Its the most important purchase for your baby, and I did a lot of looking before making a decision :)
LOVE LOVE LOVE my BOB jog stroller. I now use it as my daily stroller since it's such a smooth ride and easy to push. I love jogging with it and so does my little 11 month old. Important note, my husband is much taller and has a hard time so anyone that plans to use it should test out the height. Good luck.
I have the City Elite Single by Baby Jogger. It costs about $400 but seems to be worth every penny. I really love it. It goes from infancy through 70 lbs, so you can use it forever. My bb is four months old and I'm really glad I got it, almost back down to pre-pregnancy weight!
Best of luck and congrats.
Good Morning
I love love love my Chariot Carrier.........

The greatest thing about this stroller is that you can change it for your lifestyle. You can take off the jogging wheel and add a bike or stroller wheels to the front and it can also be used for hiking. Take a look at the website..... it really is a great stroller. I bought mine at a bike shop and that is pretty much the only place you can find them and sometimes on ebay.
I would say though....... if you are thinking about another baby anytime in the near future go ahead and buy the double.
Good luck!!!!
Hi E.!
I really love my Indie Bumbleride. Here is a link:
http://www.bumbleride.com/collection2008/indie.php
We bought ours off ebay new for $100 cheaper even after shipping!
I don't know if it is specifically stramlined for running, but it works for me. The front wheel locks or swivels and they are tires not plastic which helps on all terrains. The sun shade pivots to cover all angles. You can also purchase other accessories to go with it, we have a rain gaurd (babiesrus.com carries this line online). And if you ever want to switch fabric colors in the future you can buy just the fabric parts new!
Anyway, we love it. It's my only stroller. I use it everywhere plus for running. Good luck.
Are you a huge jogger? I wasn't, but wanted to get started and get into it. I wasn't sure what jogger to buy, so I went onto Craigslist and bought one used for 40 bucks. I figured, if I liked it (and I do), I'd keep using it. If I didn't like it, I'd know what to look for when buying a new one. It worked out great for me, and I'm still using it! Turns out though, just found out I'm pregnant with #2, so will now need a double jogger eventually. Now I really don't feel bad because I only spent $40!
I LOVE my BOB revolution. We bought the "dualie" (I have twin boys) after doing tons of research and meeting other people who loved their revolution single. Check out the web site. The front wheel swivels or you can lock it out for jogging. It's the only stroller I use-- grocery store, walk to the park, hiking, running, everything. Just make sure to check with your pediatrician that your baby's spine is developed enough for a running stroller. I think mine told me they were ok at 6 months, but it's best for you to check ahead of time.
I have the baby trend expedition jogger you can get it at target for $99 it is great I wish I got it sooner. You can either lock the front wheel or let it swivel. I had a lot of people tell me not to buy one that the wheel didnt swivel on. The stroller pushes great and is not heavy and bulky. I love the fact the the back wheels pop off easily if you need more room in the car and they are easy to put back on. My daughter that we purchased it for a few months ago will be 2 in the fal and she has a long time of using it ahead of her.

I purchased one for my first child because I was very into jogging, unfortunately never researched them to see that there were different types and can't really jog or run with the one I have, too hard to steer. I would recommend checking with a bike store to see if they carry them. Seems like they should make one where the wheels have some swivel to them. Other than that it is very durable for rough terrain so I still occasionally use it. My daughter is 10 now and my son is almost 4. He still fits in it but just barely. I like that it has a canopy and a rear compartment for storage. I occasionally walk with it to the store for just a few items and it works. Hope that helps.
I love the BOB jogger. I use it as my everyday stroller since it is so easy to push and steer. It also fits in the trunk of my corolla better than my graco one did. I would suggest that any jogger you buy has a front wheel swivel option.
I have the Baby Trend Expedition jogging stroller/travel system, and I could not be happier with it.
Hands down...BOB Revolution. We bought one after a lot of research and love it!
I love my baby jogger city series. When I was doing my research, I had it narrowed down to either the Baby Jogger or the Bob. Sounds like you can't go wrong with either of those.
