I saw that OUAC was recommended in the local business reviews but they dont tell you much. How do they decifer the pricing? Whats sellable? What happens if something doesnt sell? How long does it take? Do you get paid right away for your stuff or do you have to wait till it sells? And then again back to what happens if it doesnt sell?

What can I do next?

I don't know if you are familiar with Step By Step. It's a PTA for parents and kids 0-5? They have 2 times a year where they have a sale at the county. I am not sure if you or they set the prices but there's always a lot of stuff. They have a website. I believe their next sale is in the Spring so you would probably have to hold on to your stuff until then.

I have taken many things here over the years and alot of things they will not take saying it is to worn, out of style etc. I have seen things for sale way more worn then I have to offer then. Oh well. I only got a little money from them and they do pay right away for the stuff too. I hope this helps.

Hi J.: I took a bunch of stuff to OUAC a few months
ago and I was very disappointed!!! Everything must
be cleaned, and have ALL the pieces and parts with it or they
won't accept. If they have "too many" of something in
stock they won't take yours.
They will cut you a check on the spot but it is
WAY BELOW what your stuff is worth. I felt ripped off after
I went there and brought back half my stuff anyway because
it wasn't right for them. Next time, I will advertise in
the paper for my baby gear and/or have a garage sale!
Hope this helps.

Hi J.,
They pay right away for your stuff. One warning is they are very critical of them items so if you think ot won't sell they probably wont take it. I not sure of how they come up with the prices.

They have a computer database, probably from a parent company, that spits the prices out. Generally speaking, they don't pay well -- I was offered $13 for a stroller, which I assume they were going to sell for $50. They don't do it on consignment, so once they take it it's theirs, and they will either pay you cash or you can get more in store credit usually. Clothes are accepted seasonally, so now it's only going to be fall and winter clothes, but they always take gear and plastic toys (nothing plush). Although sometimes they'll turn stuff down if they have too much of it in stock already or if they've had trouble selling the item in the past. They have stopped taking car seats, but other than that I think anything goes. There is a main web site where you can find the store closest to you, then call them directly to see if there is anything they are not taking or desprately want. Click here:
