Have you taken a pregnancy test - when I was pregnant with my son I had an odd period like that - it was implantation bleeding.
AFter having kids I have always had my period on the 8th of each months(first 2 days very heavy and 3 day light(sorry for the details)) Well this months it was 8 days late and when it came it was very very very light and only lasted 2 days. Has anybody ever experienced something like this?? I can't get to the doc for another 3 weeks so I thought I'd ask here:) Thanks in advance

L.,
I don't know how old you are, but as we age our bodies change, even our cycles. I am 34 and have noticed recent changes as well. I don't think it is a reason to run to the doctor. Unless you are having pain or other problems, I would wait to see what happens next month. This could be a new normal for you.
Dear L.,
Are you sure your not pregnant? That is exactly what happened to me with my daughter it wasn't a period I was spotting. The doctor called it implantation bleeding. I ended up giving birth to a beautiful baby girl who is now 19. Try a pregnancy test to make sure. You did not mention your age, because many women in their early forties could be in the beginning stages of early menopause. I would definitely keep my appointment to get things checked out. Good luck!!
L., this is really common. Don't worry. Stress can totally throw you off. (Even if you don't realize that you are stressed at first) Take things slower. If there is a chance you may be pregnant you may want to buy a test to ease your mind, but stress is probably what is causing it. Take good care of yourself .
Could you be pregnant??? You can often get a period "like" thing in the first month of pregnancy when implantation occures. It is usually lighter and shorter than your "normal" period. Get a home test and find out if there is ANY possibiity!!! A.
It may happen due to plenty of reasons. Change in weight, stress, strenuous exercise or a pregnancy are usually what may cause that. Take a pregnancy test. If the test shows negative, wait another 2 wks and take another one, again. Your odd period may also be a result of a hormonal problem. If you are 45 and over, it could be pre-menopausal
Definately see your GYN.
Good Luck!
We need to know how old you are...... are you old enough to be pre-medipause, (or is it perimedipause?) (spelling!!!:P) That could be what's going on. If you're too young for that to be happening, then I have no idea. Be sure to ask the doc. Good luck Hunny-Bunny!

L.,
Could you possibly be pregnant? It is possible to get a very light period during the first couple of months after you become pregnant.
It doesn't usually happen, but it is possible!
Hi L.,
As our bodies get older alot of things change. Around 40, I began to notice several changes. Make sure you keep a log to discuss with the Doc when you have your next appointment. Even if you can't make it to the Doc for 3 weeks, call and make that appointment now.
Is there any possibility that you could be pregnant? If yes, you may want to try a home pregnancy test.
