Hi! I just moved to the Pittsburgh area about 6 months ago. My fiance and I have decided to start trying for our 2nd child. I don't know any one in the area so I have very little knowledge of the area. If any one has a recommendation, I would really appreciate knowing their practice and why you love them. I don't have a preference between male and female per se so I would really like to hear about your personal experience. I had a some what bad experience in Ohio where I lived. I really want a great experience this time! Thanks all!

What can I do next?

Hi C. - Welcome to Pittsburgh! I went through 2 pregnancies with the WomanCare Associates. I have seen every doctor in the Greentree office & I felt comfortable with them all. They also have a very nice staff!

Hi C.,
I have a wonderful OB his name is Dr. Daniel Latanzi and he used to be at St. Clair Hospital now he works in the building beside it. He delivered my now 2 year old son. His staff is wonderful and the nurses who delivered were great too. I had my son(Joey) at St.Clair Hospital where you have a birthing suite. You deliver and stay in one room a huge room. They have huge tubs to relax if you have time before. It was wonderful, it was a great experience and i can't wait to have my next baby. I went into labor at midnight about 4 i went to the hospital where they gave me some kind of pain killers, then at 8 i got my epidural, he feels you should be as comfortable as possible.Which was fine for me it made it easier to push. I had my son a 5:20 no complications. The nurses are fabulous i even sent a thank you to them and the staff i really couldn't have asked for better.I believe now he has got a woman in his practice if you prefer. His number is ###-###-#### he is on Bower Hill Road right next to the hospital. I wish you the best of Luck.

Hi C.--I'm also a former Ohioan. Lived 30 miles EAST of Cleveland.

I use Pittsburgh GYNOB Associates in Brookline. I had 5 pregnancies and just about all the experiences you can have--C-section due to baby not coming down, then a miscarriage at 20 weeks and another C-section to deliver him, then a V-BAC (normal delivery after C-section), then an early miscarriage, then another child (V-bac). There are multiple doctors in the practice--male and female--and they are all nice and were a blessing during the good AND bad times.

Best wishes, and congrats on another child.
