This is just an idea. Probably kind of generic. But paint the walls a nuetral color. even use several colors, ie an accent wall. Then when the baby is born you can easily add a gendered wall paper border or jc penney has some really cute stick up things that are like contact paper. You just stick them to the wall and they are soooo cute. Just a thought.

Just paint what you feels my sister suggests.

As my other sister did leyt this be a project of your mother hood.

Also the sibling can hrlp you or due to chemicals maybe in paint this may be a good way for you to get out and relax while Daddy and sibling let their creative juices flow.
Use a sealer to keep it .
Or put up a board you or someone paintwed, or paneling,or use a mask and paint, or but up wall paper.

You can get a color idea from them and go curtain shopping.

A n eice had a surprise party thrown by her sisters where they collected farm animals and got her wooden cut outs to put on the wall and the children made her art to hang up and cut sponges in shapes she could use as paint sponges.

Away to have a family nursery. And welcome the newest member.

Martha Steward,Baby name websites may have side bar web sites

R.,
I just did rooms for my kids twins age 3, twins age 2 and baby 5 months. I just used my imagination and went crazy! Each child has a different theme and murals painted on their walls. The one thing I will suggest is not to do it to "baby" because that doesn't last long. We have a princess/magical room, butterfly flower garden room, jungle, farm and trucks/diggers. I had a blast doing it and the kids love to look and find things on their walls. I can send you pics if you like. What I did was search on the internet for coloring pages that I liked, printed them and made transparencies. Then used them with a projector (borrowed from hubbies work) and projected them on the wall. Just trace the image with colored pencil and then paint in later. Very easy and a lot of fun.

We did not find out either; I just did web searches for "baby bedding" and went to websites for Baby's R Us, Burlington Coat Factory, etc--there are TONS!! My favorite "neutral" themes were Animals, ABC's, and teddy bears.

My sister-in-law just went thru this. They painted and decorated the room in all neutral colors and now that the baby is here they are painting it blue and adding blue accents. They have wainscoting (sp) on the bottom half of the wall so there isn't much to paint but apparently it looks great (I haven't seen it but my husband has and he said it looks really nice).
good luck!

We didn't find out either, and we had lots of luck at Babies R Us. That was 4 years ago, but their website still appears to have some great non-gender specific options. Good luck, and congratulations!!

I don't have a website suggestion. But we also didn't find out the gender of our baby and what we did was go with one of my favorite children's stories. (Guess how much I love you). It is very gender neutral. I went with the colors from the story book and created my own arrangement. I found posters from the story that I framed and wallys that I stuck around the room. I looked for bedding and paint to match the color scheme. Good luck!

We chose not to know the sex of either baby, but due to a particular position, we eventually found out with the first one. Before we knew, however, we painted the room a nice shade of khaki. Then I bought a plain stencil, and cut out polka dots of different sizes myself with an Exacto knife. Then I did the real big dots light yellow, the medium-big dots sage green, the medium dots white, and the small dots black. I did this stencil only in the corners of the room and it came out SO cute. We did green gingham curtains and bumper pad (from Pottery Barn) and accented with white and yellow blankets and black picture frames. The room came out so classy and clean... perfect for a boy OR girl!
Good luck!

How exciting! I did a farm theme in primary colors. The comforter had a barn with animals... The sheets were red, yellow, or blue checked from Pottery Barn.

She is 8 now and still adores her comforter!

It was a big hit when she was a toddler too, she loved to sit and play on it and name the animals and imitate the sounds they made-

good luck!

The best way I found to get ideas was at the baby stores. They have all the sets layed out on the cribs and usually show the boarders. (babies-r-us, Burlington Coat Factory, USA Baby, etc). We just picked a theme, frogs, then went to find that theme. Since we didn't know if our child was a boy or girl, we chose neutral colors, yellow and green, and then once our daughter was born we added the "girly colors". Her room colors are now pink and green, and we have still incorporated her frogs (since she got so many "froggy" things) but have "girlied it up" to fit her.
I would suggest doing the same. Pick something neural, then you can adjust as the baby's born by incorporating "girl" or "boy" colors as accents. Hope this helps!
