What 's a troll alert?
Gotcha, thanks, Ladies. BTW: saw it and couldn't get past the 2nd or 3rd sentence. Guess that makes me a coward.
A troll is someone who posts a question to get a rise out of the board. Generally they are meant to inflame a discussion. When someone says troll alert it means they believe that there is a troll posting.
The case this evening I am not sure that was a troll.

A troll is like the post that has "deleted question" in the title line.
It's a first time poster who posts something REALLY extreme...and this post was about her daughter touching herself and her baby....kinda sick...
A troll usually tries to provoke and "spin" mamas on here to concern...
L., sometimes it's really hard to tell if someone is really a troll or if they have a serious problem and no where to turn for help. Everyone is a new person here at some point. If this was a real post, perhaps this person didn't feel that she could ask anyone she knew, and came online and found Mamapedia to ask the question. Not everyone who deletes a post is a troll. Some people just do not want the question on the computer in case someone they know sees it. (I would think perhaps someone in the family who uses the computer and might recognize the problem she talked about.)
People told this lady to get help. If it's a real post, then I hope she does. If it isn't a real post, she has removed it and it won't offend anyone.
It's nice of us to not just assume someone's awful problem that we all hope would never happen to us is a troll. People have all kinds of terrible problems.

A troll will post something inflammatory or outrageous to get people all riled up. The post has already been deleted. The biggest tip off is that it was this person's first post. With no history, it's pretty much a given that it isn't a serious post. Some people need a life!
