my family is planning on going to corpus for 4th of july weekend can anyone recommend a nice place with large rooms?
Holiday Inn Sunspree on North Padre Island. I worked there for 4 years until I moved to Fort Worth. I loved it there and really miss the beach.

I would highly recommend the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort. It is right on the beach!
Stay away from the Holiday Inn. It is old and run down. They have opened 3 or 4 brand new hotels right on the beach of North Padre Island. One is a Comfort Inn and Best Western. Just check North Padre Island addresses. I always stay at the Hampton Inn, SPID/Park rd 22 on the island. It has an indoor swimming pool in case the weather is bad, free breakfast and we always get the suite which is one HUGE open room with a refrig and microwave. It is perfect for my family. Plus the hotel is only a few years old- nice and clean. It is not on the beach but it is about a 5 minute drive. Beaches are never crowded so you can always find parking and a good spot. Don't forget to get some amazing fresh shrimp!
