Ok, I am not crazy or anything... I just don't know ANYONE that lives by me that has kids. My daughter is 4, will be 5 in April. She will be starting Kindergarten when school starts in Aug/Sept 2007. I worked F/T out of the house so she just started a new daycare. I haven't seen any of the other parents pick up their child from her classroom. We just also moved into our house that has a huge backyard. Looking for someone with children close to her age, that live around Summerlin. I have some friends that live in Green Valley but with all our schedules- it's hard to get over there or them to come my way. Let me know, maybe we can get the kids together at the park sometime. Sure my daughter would love to eventually have a friend over. Thanks.
Try meetup.com there are a couple playgroups that have moms to meet with kids of different ages. I havea 3 yo boy but we are so busy right now that we haven't been to a playdate in a couple months. ~V.

Hi, I am actually responding because you may be able to help me. I am moving up to Las Vegas no later that the first of February. I know nothing up there and have no clue how to go about finding it. I am looking at the same problem, I am a stay at home mom, I rarely go anywhere here in California, and I will probably go less places up there. My oldest daughter is in 3rd grade and my youngest daughter is almost 3 1/2 yrs. I also have a 5 month old boy. When I get there it would be nice to hook up with some moms who are in the same boat as me.

Hi,
Just wanted to encourage you that your daughter will start to make friends at school. Soon she will come home and talk about the kids that she has fun with. Also, ask the teacher who she plays with. Then you can leave a note for the child's mom to set up a play time. I used to work at a school, and I would always help moms set up times to get to know each other.
Also, at the school parties, moms would come to volunteer and get to meet each other. I hope this helps you!
