Hi J.,

There's a big pond just behind Home Depot that has sidewalks for running or walking and a playground for your little girl. It also has ducks that you an feed. It's a free alternative to some of the other activities mentioned. There's also Saluda Shoals Park. Drive down Lake Murray Blvd going towards the dam and make a left onto Bush River Rd. Saluda Shoals is off that road on your right. They have playgrounds there and a waterpark. It's a bit cold for that right now but well worth it in the Spring and Summer. You can also kayak/canoe/intertube at Saluda for future referrence. For the Fall, there's a pumkin patch/Hayride/corn maze farm in Gilbert. It's The Farmer's Shed, ###-###-####.

Have fun!

Hi Jeanette!
I am co owner of Columbia_SC_Mommies on Yahoogroups. You're more than welcome to join us there. Most of our members live in Irmo or this side of Columbia. I am also walking every M-W-F at Seven Oaks park. I take my 15 month old daughter with me and after the walk we play on the playground. I get there at 9:00 am on those mornings.
One other place you should check out is columbia4kids.com. Lot's of good info there :)

GOOD LUCK!

Hello Jeanette and welsome to South Carolina! Christian Life Assembly located off Bush River Road has a group called "Time Out Moms". It is a wonderful way to meet other women and your daughter to make new friends. You do not have to attend the church to be apart of this group. Their number is ###-###-####. J. - there are actually a lot of things to do in Columbia w/your kids. One of the best things for me is Leapin Lizard's. I live near Irmo so it's about a 10 min. drive to get there but it's worth it. you can check them out on the internet, just google Leapin Lizard's. Also there's Irmo Gymnastics which has all sorts of classes starting for 6 months and up. You can also check them on the internet. Then there's places like the museum, zoo, and edventure. And Welcome to South Carolina!
