I am looking for a new OB/GYN, preferably one who supports natural childbirth and is willing to see you if you also have a midwife. Any suggestions?

You didn't mention where in the Metroplex you are, but my OB/GYN supports midwives as well as natural childbirth (IF you want it - I did). Her name is Dr Catherine Maxwell-Hees.

Dr Hees is part of a group out of Fort Worth that will be delivering at the new Andrews Women's Hospital over in Fort Worth. She has another office in NRH where I usually see her.

Dr. Fred Cummings in Denton would be a great choice. Also Dr. Douglas Decker in Fort Worth. Possibly Dr. Donna Kolar in Fort Worth as well.

We live in the center of FW, so this is quite a drive, but we believe it is worth it to see Dr Frederick Cummings in Denton. 5 of my children were born with the same midwife, and he allowed her to be present when I needed a second opinion with baby #7. Dr Cummings in not an alarmist and is willing to wait it out if there is a chance that homebirth is still a safe option for you or is available just to be consulted with. We have alot of respect for him. Hope that helps
