Hi Hannah,

I wanted to first congratulate you on your new baby that is coming soon! I just had my first Child 16 months agoand when I had him, I was sooo anxious to get out and meet other moms but at that NEw baby stage there is not much playing but rather a lot of sleeping that your tbaby will do a lot of,, but it was still great to chat with other moms and get some tips of what to expect as my little one got older.. I had joined moxiemoms (theres a yearly fee of $50 or so) and theres plenty of other groups such as Stroller Striders, and mountain Mamas. those are the big name ones that I can think of right now,, Good luck to you and I hope your last few months of pregnancy fly by!!

hiHannah,
look into joining MOMS (moms offering moms support) club, or a MOPS (Mother's of Preschoolers). There is a small ($25.00)registration fee for both, but worth the cost. Both are great ways to meet other moms and develop a social and support network. Look in your local community newspapers to find out names and phone numbers of such groups.

HI ! I am also a new due in February. i'm also looking to meet new moms and have started to look into mommy and me classes, etc. as a way to meet people. we live in castlerock and are also fairly new to the area so i'm not familiar with many resources in the area. maybe we could start out own group !

You might look on meetup.com. I belong to a moms group there. It is about 60 women so you probably can find some new friends, playgroups, advice, etc. You can normally find moms groups through your religious affiliation as well. Once your baby is bigger, you can try out tumbling, music classes, etc. at your local rec center and that is great place to meet other moms too.
