P.K.
Just google it. There should be a government website. Nothing really good about it. Actually I do not think the whole thing will come to fruition. It will take the country down due to cost.
Hello ladies,
Can anyone tell me where I can read up on the new healthcare laws (Obamacare) that are going into/are now in effect?
And please, no propoganda sites or opinions. I'm just looking for facts.
I have Googled it but I come up with so much information that it's hard to decipher what is fact from opinion. That's why I was hoping to get some good, factual (preferable abridged) information.
Thanks so much!

I see you already have links to the full text, that is about the only way you will get unbiased.
I like find law because it goes into a legal interpretation of the law.

The problem you are going to find regardless of source is so much of the law isn't spelled out. It gives new powers to the HHS but doesn't really define how far they can go. What this ends up meaning is until something is implemented we will not know how it actually functions.
What you are going to see is parts rolled out, injunctions, suits, rulings, roll it out, lather rinse repeat,
If you search for Affordable Care Act you'll avoid the "Obamacare" anti-reform propoganda. This link has some good info:

This site also has some high level information:

Basically nothing substantial is happening this year except that open enrollment into a marketplace of plans will begin at the end of 2013 for 2014. There were some measures put into effect in 2010, 2011 and 2012 and the rest will be 2014.
LOL, not even Obama knows about Obamacare. No one in Congress knows what's in it, they even admitted that they didn't read the bill. The bill is so complex that it's still being reviewed and changed, with the hopes that they will be able to figure it out by the time it's suppose to be implemented in 2014.
just read the bill
This is a little dated, but it's kind of fun to watch, because it's animated. Cokie Roberts is the narrator. She doesn't even begin to say we've got "all the answers".

This is the website I used for school papers;

The best websites posters gave you below are Findlaw and ones with the ending ".gov" which stands for government. The government websites will give you the exact law and accurate legal interpretations of the ObamaCare acts. Government websites ending in ".gov" are not allowed to be bipartisan and are set up to give out free information to the public.
