Does anyone know of a good fast way of cleaning tile floors and keeping them maintained. I see the commericial for ,I think Dirt Devil battery operated floor sweeper, then there is one that I saw at Kohl's that the head swivels and it is not battery operated. I have a lot of tile floor and 3 kids. I need the easiest and fastest way to keep it clean.

What can I do next?

I LOVE the swivel sweeper - you can get at Linen and Things and CVS - I don't know if Kohl's carries - I have the non-battery operated one - WASTE of money - doesn't hardly pick up anything. I'm on my 2nd swivel sweeper - I have all tile and laminate flooring and use it at least 2 x a day because of dog and 2 toddlers - works GREAT!! They're about 35.

Hey - I just bought a little Dirt Devel Power Sweep .. it charges by plugging into the wall ... I've only had it a week - but I LOVE it ... it's sooo easy to use and does a pretty good job in my tile floor. :-) It swivels and maneuvers great! I bought it at walmart for like $30. I'd say definitely get something cordless.

I disagree with going cordless. I know the cord and plugging the vacuum in is a pain when you are practically sweeping up after every meal. But, I have been through too many dust busters and cordless vacs. The rechargeable batteries just seem to lose their life too fast. After 6 months, you will notice less power and it will run out on you very quickly. I inadvertently picked up a corded vac the last time I went to replace my cordless and the power and reliability are worth the plugs to me.

J.,
I use the Hoover floor mate. It not only dry vacuums the floors, but it also has a wet vac. It is so much better than mopping because it sucks up all of the dirty mop water and leaves the floor clean and "dry"

i have the purple dirt devil cordless sweeper. i love it. it has a filter and it has a canister. it was $50 at target. it works great. it has a setting for just sucking and one for carpet. i use the carpet setting for both and it works awesome on my hard wood floor and my tile kitchen. i have 1 dog and 2 cats inside and it picks up all the hair.
also i used to have a shark and it worked very well also. i wanted to up grade to the shark that has side sweepers but i decided on something with a sucking action
