I have a formal awards banquet to attend in June and I want to get a professional updo and makeup done... but don't want to pay "wedding" prices. I have VERY long curly hair.
I would love recommendations in FM/HV/Lewisville. Preferably someone that has actually HAD an updo done there or had their DD get an updo there for prom or something.
I have never had my hair done there personally, but my MIL does make up, facials, and all that fun stuff!! She works in a salon where she could recommend someone to do your hair for you!! Hi there! I work for TIGI. A great place for an updo would be at the TONI&GUY Academy. You would have a student do it for you, but with instructors helping them along the way. It is a much more affordable way to go. Give it a try.

Go to the mall and ask go to the make-up counter and ask them to do it (for free) with promise to buy lip stick and/or powder. I've done this 3 times in the last 15 years and never had a problem. I like Estee Lauder. Or maybe try Merell Norman in HV.

Try Sephora & MAC. I heard the makeup dept at Nordstroms is pretty good.
