I just moved in here in this area about 3 months.We are a military family.And just bought a house in Layton area. I have 2 kids son 5 years old and daughter 15 months
I would like to have a playdate or groups for them @ my house.To let them have some socials and development. I would like to share and talk and learn stuffs here from a local mom also. Anybody interested in this or any advice??
A little bit about my boy, he is great , high energy and , very good manner.Sometime really quiet. ^_^ Love sports and outdoor but can be sweet with his sister.
My daughter, a cute little girl so much to tell,she is a sweetheart and need to learn to share beside her family and brother.
I think I can make it on Monday,Tuesday or Friday morning.
Every afternoon my kids have swiming class so we can't make it.

Hi N., did you know the base has a play group on Thursday's at 10? I was looking at it on line tonight. I haven't been yet and my dd will start a preschool camp in Aug. in the mornings on T/W/TH so I'm not going to be able to do it but I was really excited about it until I figured that out!! lol. anyway I found the schedule at Hill's website, I think through the family life center.
There is also a Make Time For Mom's group at Layton Christian Life Center that will be starting up again in Sept. it's once a month and they have child care for the kids to play in rooms for their ages and it's actually stuff for moms so I really love that one. It was on Tuesday's last year I think, anyway if you want info on that I can get you the contact info for it.
Another great place is the Treehouse Museum up in Ogden they do special classes, like Alphabet soup where you can meet a group there and make friends or just let your kids hang out with other kids no strings attached. lol.
There is also a mom group in Layton that I kept trying to make it to their get togethers and never did last year. I think I have her contact info still too. let me know if this is what you are interested in.
I know the feeling anyway--my dd 3 yrs old really wanted to play with a friend today and none of my 3 friends with kids around her age were available. I thought wow that is pretty sad that I am not more social to give that to my daughter. during the school year she is in preschool and dance so gets some of that and just finished swim--her daddy just deployed so I am looking for things to do. maybe we could even just meet up at the splash pad on base one day if you want. let me know and welcome to Hill. :)
