My 2yr old still seems to potty a lot during the night. He is a tummy sleeper, so he usually has a wet bed in the morning. I am tired of changing the bed multiple times through the week and washing everything to put back on it. Does any one know if they make sheet savers for a twin size bed. My boys have bunk beds, so the crib size saver has nothing to tie on to. Does anyone have another suggestion possibly?
Consider cloth overnight undies. Mother of Eden makes some fantastic (but pricey) ones. On the other end of the price scale is Gerber's plastic trainers. There are many other brands in between. Go to Google. "Cloth diaper" or "training pants" or even "potty training" will send you to several sites. If you don't want to pay full price and don't mind used go to diaperswappers.com.

Been quite awhile since I had a child that young, but they ussed to have flannel feeling sheets that were to keep the matress dry if wet on. Do you put night time (big boy) pull up diapers on him at night?

You can look at Onestepahead.com. I got mine from there, and it just wraps around the matress wherever you need it. It absorbs any moisture, and you can just take it off and wash it instead of all of the bedding. I hope this helps.

Go online to Leaps and Bounds/One Step Ahead. They have a twin size quilted mattress pad that you put on top of your sheet and it tucks in on either side under the mattress. Buy 2. Then if one gets wet you can slip the other one one. It holds a lot and most of the time my son can't tell he wet the bed except for the wet pjs. The covers are soft so my son is comfortable. They are a life saver!!!!

When my best friend was training her twins, she came up with the best idea - shower liners. She cut plastic shower liners and put them between fitted sheets. She put multiple fitted sheets with shower liners in between so she wouldn't have to change a whole bed in the middle of the night. I also found that the Right Start has a great "pee sheet" that tucks in under the matress pad that holds 6 cups of water and is easily removable after an accident.

Go to the dollar store and get plastic table cloths. Cut them to the size you want to go across the width of the bed, then use another sheet as a "draw sheet" like in the hospital. Then when there is an accident at night, you strip off the "draw sheet" and replace it with another one. Or you might want to make the bed up with several layers. We did this with my dad when he was bed ridden and had lots of accidents.

When we bought my son's mattress they sold us a mattress pad that protects the mattress. It is plastic on bottom but cloth material on top so it doesn't have the feel or sound of plastic. Also, it is a breathable pad so it doesn't made the kids hot. We love it and wished we had bought two instead of only one b/c it has been such a life saver for all kinds of accidents. I don't remember the name brand or which mattress store we bought it at but I'm sure almost every mattress store carries it. Try Sleep Experts or Mattress Firm . . . its a little expensive but I promise it is worth every penny!
I have the same problem with my 2-year-old son. I am not familiar with sheet savers - maybe I need to invest in those. What worked the best for us is to buy special nighttime diapers for him. Huggies makes a nighttime brand. However, they are expensive. Right now, I am putting up with a wet bed because I have a hard time spend so much on diapers. However, a friend pointed out that if I calculated how much it costs to do all that extra laundry, I could probably justify the expensive overnight diapers. They are much more absorbent than the cheaper brands.
Good luck!

I have found a sheetsaver at walmart. My Grandmother wears depends and it works great for her. The one I found does not cover the whole bed but a good part of it since you have a twin bed. It was under $10.00. It washes great.Check over by the pillows and mattress cover area. Good luck. M. B.

Walmart has one for less than 10 bucks that will cover the bed from the nipples to the knees if you put it sideways (so the sides are covered), or will cover head to toes if you put it longways. By the plastic covers.

When my children were small, I used the blue hospital pads and just pinned them to the sheets. Then, if they had an accident, I just removed the pad and put on a new one. Your little one is still a bit young to go thru the night because they sleep so hard, so the pull ups work great for that.

I would start with putting a regular sheet on,put a water proof sheet over that one. Then top it off with another regular sheet. That way when you have an accident you can strip off the top two sheets and still have a clean one on the bottom. This also saves time if you have a middle of the night accident. They also make waterproof pads that just fit over part of the bed. Which may be a little easier.

Hi, One thing that lasted for ever and is washable and less expensive is to to go Joann's and purchase "Flannel covered rubber sheeting". It comes on a roll and you can buy the amount of yardage you need. This stuff is covered with colorful designs too. I even used them under my dog's bed when she got older and sometimes had accidents. Try this.

You should really think about using pull ups for night time. at 2 years old the hormone probably hasn't kicked in yet for the little thing. Just like mentioned before, you can call them night night underware.

I am not exactly sure what a "sheet saver" is, but I am guessing it is like an absorbant pad so the sheets won't get wet..
Please don't take this the wrong way, but why don't you go to the pet store and get some potty pads that they make for dogs? I have seen some big ones - probably 2.5 x 2.5 feet.
Good luck!

Yes. There is a pad that goes just across the middle over the sheet or under (but why). Anyway, try 'one step ahead'. They have great products.

Two is an early age for being able to wake up in time to go to the potty. Have you tried putting a bedtime diaper or pullup on him for night? Especially little boys have trouble holding through the night. Sometimes a little extra padding helps. He may be relieved when he wakes up dry.

We got some online at www.onestepahead.com and I love them! They advertise that they will hold up to 6 cups of liquid and I really believe it! I got 2 just in case our kids woke up in the night with a wet bed. Then you just have to change the sheet saver and that's it! It takes about a minute (literally) and then everyone is back to bed! Best money spent! :-)
