Temple Terrace Recreation Center has swim lessons. My 4 year old took them this summer and did real well. Their phone number is ###-###-####. They are about 15 mins from Tampa Palms depending on traffic.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a swimming instructor in the Tampa Palms area to teach a 3 yr old how to swim? Thank you!

Try calling Swim Kids USA, they are known in the area and are very credible. Otherwise the New Tampa YMCA. Good luck!
Swim Kids USA. I've tried 3 different schools in the area and this intructor was the only one that finally made progress. My daughter is 2 and can float on her back! www.swimkidsusa.com
Very happy with Swim Kids USA. The skill was unfortunately put to the test with our son when he was 2 and he knew what to do when he fell into the pool. Even though my husband was right there, he watched him get himelf out and it sealed our faith in the process.
The New Tampa YMCA worked very well for my 3-year-old. I didn't care for Seal and he didn't really progress, but then I tried private lessons with Miss Bobbie at the Y. After 2 sessions, he was swimming. It's reasonably priced, and you can go even if you don't belong to the Y.
Check out Infant Swimming Resource. They teach young children ages 6 months to 6 years aquatic survival skills. Young babies learn (up to age 1) learn how to orient themselves in the water into a floating posture. You daughter would learn a swim-float-swim sequence.
These lessons are one on one for 10 minutes a day. Instructors go through an intensive training program based on behavioral principles and medical guidelines. Both my babies went through this program and are proficient in the water.
www.infantswim.com is the national website where you can find a local instructor
There is an instructor teaching at the Tampa Palms County Club; I belive its Emma Gymbal. (my kids took lessons in Brandon)
