Hi gals,

I asked this question once, but only received one reply, and so I am going to try one more time.

I currently have the large stroller travel system, which I loved in the beginning...BUT...now my daughter is 10 months old and I am ready to get rid of the heavy and hard to manage stroller and move to a much lighter and easy to use one...here is what I am looking for (I would appreciate any feedback on both the strollers you would recommend and even those you would not recommend. :))...

1) I would like the stroller to be lightweight and easy to maneuver (steer) and fold-up. (However, it does have to be tough enough to be strolled through parks and fields for when I go to all of my son's football games---some of the terrain is pretty rough.) So, larger wheels would probably be best, I would guess?

2) I would prefer to have a parent organizer of some sort to put a bottle of water and my keys, and one for my daughter would be nice too, unless it is a huge hassle.

3) I would like for it to have a nice canopy that I could use for when she would be napping while I am at games and I need to keep the sun off of her face.

4) I would like for it to recline for nap time.

5) I would like to have a nice-sized basket underneath for her diaper bag, etc.

Any and all recommendations, advice and feedback would be greatly appreciated in order for me to make the most informed decision. It would also be nice to know where the best deals are.

Thanks, girls! :)

What can I do next?

My stroller rocks! It sounds exactly like what you need. It is a Silver Cross. I got it as a gift, so I don't know the price, but it is honestly an amazing stroller. I get asked/complimented about it all the time. I'm a single mom, just did a trip to Disney and I could not do it without this stroller. My son is almost 4 and it's still ideal.

Characteristics:
1) Large basket underneath
2) Has a pouch for keys, etc in between the handles up high. It does not have a drink holder, but I put water bottles, sippy cups in here no problem.
3)Nice folding canopy
4)Large/fat sturdy tires that handle rough terrain amazingly well.
5)Has a 5 harness strap, at this point I don't use it but great when they are little.
6)It reclines, has an adjustable buckle. Snap the buckle and seat is all the way forward. Unsnap and it lays almost flat.
7)Its a freakin umbrella stroller! Step on 2 levers and "poof" folds flat! I can do this with a 45lb kid sleeping in one arm.
8)Has a handle on the side for easy carrying when its folded.

People are honestly amazed when they see me with this stroller. I know I sound a little nuts bragging about it, lol, but it is one of the best things I received and the only gift I am still using. When folded up it is larger then the cheap umbrella strollers, longer not really thicker. But it sounds like exactly what you need.

Hope that helps!

Hi there, I have an Inglesina and I am very happy with it. It has an umbrella fold which I wanted so my trunk is not full of stroller, have nice wheels and reclines. Also has the canopy and the basket is an OK size. Its a bit expensive but it last and you could look picking one up second hand. I am sending you the link and you can check them out in person at Rightstart stores. They have 3 different models. I have the Swift. I hope this helps.

I also had a "travel system" type stroller, and got sooo sick of it. I purchased the Chicco stroller when my daughter was about 9 mos. and I love it!! Here is a link to it on the baby's r us website: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2633095

This stroller is lightweight, yet durable. VERY easy to assemble. The canopy is large and adjustable and can completely shade the baby. (Great for being outdoors for long periods of time). I also love the fact that its very easy to manuever thru grass, fields, and the wheels are heavy duty plastic w/locks on all four. Handle is adjustable, large area for holding bags etc. It also has a cup holder up by the handle with a closing compartment for keys/sunglasses etc. I believe you can position it in 3 positions, I could actually change my daughters diapaer IN the stroller completely reclined when she was smaller. Best part of all, its soooo easy to close! One hand if need be! :) It has a tray w/cup holder for the baby which is removable. It also has the 5 point harness system, just like a car seat. I can't rave enough about it, and I'm not even getting paid to endorse it! LOL
Good luck with your purchase!

I have a Peg Perego Pliko P3 Stroller which I purchased to replace my travel system. I love that it has a 5 point harness for safety. The childs tray also comes all of the way off and you can use the stroller either way. It folds very easily and also has handles that adjust. I am 5ft3 and hubby is 6ft tall and we are both comfortable pushing this stroller. The canopy is also great and can completely cover baby in the stroller. It is a little pricey around $360.00 but we have been using for 2 years with no problems at all.

We have the Baby Jogger City stroller and like it a lot. It's great for outside, although we haven't gone through fields with it. :) The biggest downside is that you have to buy all the extras separately (parent console, baby console) and none of them are cheap. But it's a nice stoller. The canopy is good. I forget how big the basket is. We haven't used it lately with the crappy snow outside. We did buy a cheap parent console at target that attaches to the handlebars to carry drinks and little extras. It's compact for a jogger stroller and manuvers great. the front wheel can swivel or be in a fixed position. We got ours at Buy Buy Baby in Downers Grove. They have a big selection that you can test out. Very easy folding--you just pull up on this strap in the middle. Good luck!
