I know I probably sound desperate. I live in Edmond, and I still haven't found any friends. I've live in Oklahoma for 3 years now and no luck. My 3 year old son has to be bored with playing with mom all the time. I go to Transformation Fitness and I've talked to a few people but I haven't really met anyone my age. I'd like to find something for me and my son to do during the day or whenever. He starts preschool in Sept. I feel like I haven't had any adult contact, and my son has no friends to play with. Please help.

I, too, live in Edmond. Today is my son's first day of Pre-K. He is 4 years old. He will b going to Will ogrs in Putnam City School District becaue that is the district where I teach. Maybe one day we can meet and the boys can play.
Hey! I too live in Edmond. I have a 2 year old and a 3 month old. Do you scrapbook? I have a group of girls that get together on the 4th Saturday of the month from 1-6pm at Edmond Church of Christ (Bible hour room) and we'd love to have you join us. The crop is free, but if you want to bring your son it's $5 for childcare. So then he can play with all of our kids! It's a fun get together. Even if you don't scrap, you could bring a different craft, or pictures and we can teach you! Or just come to meet the girls. We welcome you anyway!

I had this problem too for awhile when we moved to Edmond. My kids are alot older than yours now but I have been a speaker at a couple of Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) groups and both groups seemed to have some wonderful women and kids in them. The Edmond group meets the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month. The kids play and do activities together while the moms get to interact and there are sometimes speakers. Hi, my name is S. and you sound just like me. I am also 29 and moved to Edmond a year and a half ago. Like you I have struggled to meet anyone who has more than 5 minutes to talk with. My son is 1.5 but says he's 3. I would love to meet and see how our sons get along. We have no schedule to live by other than nap time from about 12-3. Let me know when and where and I will meet you.
