OK, so I have not been here since it has changed to Mamapedia. Mamasource was AWESOME and helped me with a lot when we first moved here to AZ. Hoping it will again.
Help! My little guy is having a Pirate Party and I am very particular about our Birthday Cakes. I love to have them nicely decorated and tasting delicious! I have always ended up finding someone who does it on the side out of their home and they do an amazing job with a reasonable price.
I had pretty much given up here in Queen Creek/San Tan Valley and then I found a friend who does a FABULOUS job! However, she has her own daughters BD next week and can't do my son's cake.
Mamas do any of you know anyone that you can recommend that is in possibly Queen Creek, STV, Gilbert, or possibly Chandler (depending "where" in Chandler). I would also take Bakery recommendations I just hope that they are not outrageously priced but really good.
If any could help as soon as possible I would really appreciate it!

There is a young woman that works at Michael's in Gilbert (Gilbert Rd. & Germann) who does cakes in her home and wants to start a business. She teaches the crafts sometimes and we got to talking about it because I watch the cake decorating shows and attempt cakes myself. Sorry I don't know her name, but if you call or go in there, they should know who she. She has dark brown hair, and on the short side.

I second Sugarlips Cakery! They made my daughter's baptism cake and I'll be going their for all my cakes. Beautifully decorated and super yummy...you can't beat that!

There is a bakery in Mesa, not your ideal location, but it is close to the 101. Sugar Lips, located between 101 and Dobson off of Guadalupe. ###-###-#### www.sugarlipscakery.com. Cakes are very affordable, usually around $75 dollars for a very decorated cake with fondant characters or whatever your style is and you get a smash cake for free I believe. Good luck!
