D.. I haven't been in the area all that long, but I had a baby in November. Lowcountry OB/GYN was wonderful. My doctor is Dr. OSborne, and it is my understanding that he is one of the better doctors in the area (though I will admit that he lacks a bit in the way of bedside manners). The practice is very good. If you prefer a female OB/GYN, Caroline Felty (she's in the same practice) saw me while I was pregnant, and I was very impressed with her. I think there are 13 doctors in that practice, and I haven't heard anything bad about any of them. Dr. White delivered my baby, and she seemed good too. They have offices in Mt. Pleasant and West Ashley.
As for pediatricians, I wouldn't ever switch. We go to Charleston Pediatriacs, and I have seen all 3 doctors there. All of them are great. They have wonderful bedside manner, and all of them have great reputations. Dr. Sperry is my favorite, but they are all good. Dr. Quattelbaum is the best with the older kids I understand. Like I said, I've seen all three of them and like them all. (Dr. Stapelton is the third one in the practice). I am a working mom as well, and my child is in daycare. She got very sick about 2 months ago, and they handled it well. She also had reflux very bad when she was first born, and they jumped on it quickly and fixed it before it became too serious of a problem. We had some weight gain issues with her due to the reflux, and they were also very good at not making mom worry too much. I highly recommend them.
