Try my.freecycle.org. It's a forum where people give away things (like formular and clothing) that they no longer need. I hope that helps!

we were low on funds years ago and I just got the phone book and called foodbanks, got some foodstamps, also got on wic for a short time. And then I shopped for things like beans and rice that were healthy and cheaper and we made it through the tough time and we are doing fine now
Hi R.,
I am not local, but I know that a lot of churches across the country participate in Angel Food Ministries, which is a way that families in a community can purchase food boxes. Because they are purchased in large quantities, the food boxes are available at a very low price. You can view monthly menues online and order through a church that participates. There is no income requirement (Bill Gates could buy boxes of food if he wanted to) and you are not committing to continue. They also accept food stamps. Their website is www.angelfoodministries.com. My agency refers families frequently and I have several friends who love it.
Call some churches in your area.. They can help with food.. Also call your city hall they can help with food and where to get clothing.. Also you can call the school councelors.. They may be able to help. Good luck... There is help out there. HERE IS WHAT I FOUND.. HOPE THIS HELPS.. CALL THEM.

Tarah J.'s answer was just what you need. Also I would recommend inquiring of your local churches as well as Good Will and Salvation army for food and clothing. Catholic Charities may also be able to provide you with some help assistance.
What are the sizes of your children? We have so many children at my church and are often trading clothes. I worship at Orange United Methodist Church where it wouldn't be a problem to get you what you need.
what are the sizes of your children? I have clothes my children have outgrown that I usually donate but if they are the right size I can ship them to you.
Have you called WIC? Also, you may wish to call Social Services for your county and see if you qualify for any public assistance. There is a website http://www.njhelps.org/ that tells you about a lot of different programs and you can also see if you qualify for many of them by answering questions on the site. We have a place called the Madonna House by us that gives moms food and clothing and even toys and diapers ###-###-####. A few years back we had to rely on help and it was humbling, but you have to do what you have to do to take care of your children.
Freecycle.org is a site where people are loking to give all kinds of things away that they no longer need. You can look thru lists of offers & put in requests for what you are looking for. Good Luck to you & your family.
Yes there are!

Get you and your family on food stamps, get your kids on medicaid, get your kids on free school breakfast/lunches, get unemployment (if that is an option).
Also try to go to your local church and I'm sure the pastor/priest/whatever will show you more organizations that can help your family. Some churches have thrift stores that can give you and your family free clothing.
God bless!
I know that the crisis pregnancy center helps with baby clothes, etc. What are the ages of your children? Salvation army helps with both and bills! Best place to check is the local church. Hope this helps!
I know that people have given good information to your question. Alot of churches have food pantries and clothings, there are WIC (Women, Infant and Children), food stamps and social services and look for these assistance in your county. Any more help needed? Help us know.
For clothes and baby gear (strollers, bassinets, high chairs, etc) check out babybuggy (http://www.babybuggy.org/)
Have you applied for WIC? If you have children under age 5, you may qualify. Good luck!
Hi,
What are the sizes of your children? I have clothing from children as well that I can help you with.
Hi R.
Wish you were nearer.
Many of us need help, and we use what is available. I go to the 3 local thrift stores. My children rarely had new clothes. The twins are 19 now and still try the thrift stores first for their needs. Locally we can food thriftily by learning to cook on a budget, which you are probably doing.
Have you checked what gov. programs you qualify for? What about a food pantry in your area? We have 2 in our little town.
God bless you and give you wisdom.
K.
Consider joining online, Freecycle.org in your area. There is an Old Bridge area group and a Middletown...also Freehold area group. Re-cyclers offer to each other and give away everything a human would need...including good food stuffs and family clothing. I nearly furnished my house via Freecycle, while giving away may items I no longer wanted or needed. You can post a WANT or an OFFER; other members will respond to your post. You will either pick up from their porch...or they will pick up from yours!
call your local consignment shops -- what they don't sell, they try to donate before throwing it away. They may be willing to hold things back for you if you give them a list of sizes...
Hi R.. I see that you're in Barnegat...I know it's quite a distance from Middlesex County, but our church has a big food pantry and may be able to help with some clothing. You can call them at ###-###-#### and ask for Broken Loaves or online at "www.ccob.org" and under Broken Loaves do the same. I also agree that you should find out about eligibility for food stamps and wic!! Hang in there. Times are tough for a lot of us. Look to the Lord. He will provide for you and your little ones!!!
