I know I could send my stuff to Goodwill or Salvation Army.. but I want to feel like I am doing something that is actually helping people. We donated once to a HUGS organization but I cant find the number now.. My 5 yr old daughter has been blessed her whole life needless to say.. and she recently "cleaned" her room. We asked that she put all of the toys she doesnt play with anymore into a box.. well 4 boxes later.. I was really impressed .. she said other kids need it more than her. We also have lots of clothes to give away that she doesnt wear anymore as well as clothes that my 8 month old cant wear anymore.. Any suggestions of some good organizations?
Hello, I work for a lady in addison that loves to donate to a place called The jonathon place, i think its a place for battered woman and children, her clothes is very well taken care of and she love helping people out, and does not like to donate to places where it might sit for month, not to mention a crazy price put on it,,,theres also a place called once upon a child
Helping Hands in Rockwall!! It's easy to get to, and they will welcome all toys and clothes. Just take 66 highway into Rockwall, on through the square, and it's on the right side of the road. It's a sort of salmon stucco building. Donations go around the back. They'll even help you unload and give you a receipt.

We do the Dallas Life Foundation because when you take them items, they give you a receipt and you can fill in your own amount for the worth of your stuff. That can help at tax time!

I work for Rockwall County Helping Hands, which is right in your area. We help people in Rockwall County with short-term emergencies. We help financially and run a food pantry. We also have a health clinic that helps those who cannot afford to go to a doctor. We are an awesome organization!! We run a thrift store that helps support these programs and would love to have your donations. The thrift store is located at 950 Williams St., Ste 100 Rockwall, Texas 75087. Items can be dropped off Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. My name is M. and if you have any problems just ask for me, I am the Program Director. These people really help! They give out food, clothing, baby items, and whatever they have available to help the people of the community and surrounding communities. Almost all items are from donations.
The New Beginnings Center in Garland is a great place to donate to. You can either take it to their resale shop or to their main office. Their shelter burned down in a fire last year and they are trying to equip the new one. You can specify if you want it to go for resale or to the shelter. Think of all those mothers and their kiddos who had to leave their things behind! Good luck!
There is a place in Mesquite that I go to that take donate and help people that need clothes and food. The name is Life Share it is off Gus Thomson and Hwy 80.
I would send it to Mission Arlington. They are a wonderful non-profit.
We have donated several items to the Women's Shelter in Plano. I think it is Hope's Door, maybe Genesis. Also to Allen Community Outreach.
I like the women's shelter because these women are moving on to a new life without violence and they need a lot of stuff. We have donated washer/dryer, computer, tv's, dining room set, toys,......of course, everything in working order and clean.
