I would highly recommend finding a BOB Revolution on Craigslist. It's a great double stroller and although I only run if I'm being chased, I have several friends who love it as a jogging stroller.
I recently gave birth and now have a one-month old baby girl, and I have a two-year-old boy. I'm eager to get back in shape! I'm looking for a double jogging stroller that any of you can recommend. I know I have to wait for my baby to be about 6 months before I can use it, but I'd like to start saving and have it ready.
I've noticed how expensive they are. I don't want to buy something that I will regret. I really want something that turns easily and is simple to manuever. Light weight would be great too. My son is very big for his age. He is tall and I want him to comfortable with his long legs. Any advice is appreciated!! Also, if anyone is willing to sell one they are no longer using, let me know. Thanks!
I already have a single Jeep jogging stroller and the one thing I dislike about it is it will not turn easily. I don't want to make the same mistake twice.

try Craigslist for a used one, we had GREAT luck finding
a like new stroller on Craigslist last yr.
good luck!
Since others have mentioned the BOB, I will say that I do like it (it belongs to the child I'm a nanny to- and I also jog with it regularly), BUT The Phil and Ted's stroller (One I own after trying many others) has proven to be much better. They are more streamlined, take up less space, weigh less and are easier to handle than the BOB. ALSO... the stroller (even when there are two kids using it at the same time) has a seat that LAYS FLAT for newborns! I use mine as a jogger and love it. When you get to the point of only needing the stroller for one child, the second seat EASILY is removed. And the other seat does not have to always lay flat, it can be adjusted in many other ways.
As far as your son's size... I've had my 6 year old in it to try it out. rare occasion- she's WAY too old to not be walking:)... but at least that gives you an idea! I have 4 kiddies- 6, 4, 2 and 1.
You can buy a car seat attachment for the double BOB and put your toddler in one seat and your newborn in the other in the car seat--that way you don't have to wait until 6 months! :-)
Also, we have a Chariot bike trailer with the jogger attachment and the infant sling so I can walk and run with both kiddos (2yrs & 4 mos)--it's a very expensive option, but it's multi-purpose.
