My kid won't eat fruits or veggies. She loves yogurt though, so I bought some plain yogurt to make some smoothies for her. I'd like to hide small amounts of veggies and mainly fruit in it for her. Any help? I need a few recipies.

I use this: http://www.shaklee.net/healinghappens/product/20665
add 1 banana and two cubes of ice/sometimes a tablespoon of peanut butter

the banana can be exchanged for anything. we like fruit, so sometimes strawberries, sometimes blueberries

I keep a lot of frozen fruit in the freezer so I can make them at any time. Blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, pineapples, some peaches, blackberries, etc.

Then I use a ripe banana and some yogurt. Fruit flavored yogurts work great. I also have to add some milk to give the blender some help with all that hard fruit. My kids call it "pink drink" and they love it.

During the summer, I make it without the yogurt. But, I add water with some crystal light raspberry mixed in (a half of a single serve packet is enough). This we call "frozen fruit" and I think I like it even more than the smoothies. It is also a great popcicle recipe. Make a big batch and pour what is left into popcicle molds. Very healthy, very good.

The book Green for Life by by Victoria Boutenko is really helpful if you want to get into green smoothies but just watch this video for the basic idea.

You'll need to blend greens for awhile (or use a food processor first) to get rid of the gritty texture. We do baby spinach, romaine, parsley, or kale as the greens blended with some water till smooth and then add in frozen or fresh berries, bananas, whatever fruit we have. They are good like that or to persuade kids add some vanilla yogurt to sweeten. (By the way, my 2 & 4 year olds love these-we have one every afternoon for a snack & we've only been into them for a few months but I think it will be a healthy trend we continue)

I really like to use milk and ripe bananas with some cinnamon. It comes out very sweet with no sugar added:)

I usually buy the frozen Yoplait prepackaged smoothies at Costco, they are soooo good! You just add milk, the fruit and yogurt are already in it. But here is a website that has all kinds of smoothies to choose from and they are rated:

I like to mix orange juice, banana, strawberries and yogurt. So good! You could probally add in small pieces of carrots. The flavor and pieces will probally be hidden but she will still get the nutrients.

I use about 10oz strawberry banana yogurt, 1 very ripe bananas (makes it sweet), 8-10 frozen strawberries and milk as needed to make it smooth. YUMMO

You can always substitute the strawberry banana yogurt with vanilla flavored.
