Parents Magazine makes a toddler/mom excercise video (I think there may be a yoga one). They are available at Target for around $14.
I am hoping something like this actually exists. Getting fed up with having my toddler tugging at my clothes & whining & climbing all over me while I attempt to do yoga with the DVD I already have. I can not afford classes or to send my daughter to a sitter just so I can exercise. Besides, I think it would be a great example for her to see me doing it. Not to mention, I was an overweight child, and I really want her to get into being active at an early age.
So finding a DVD to use at home that could appeal to her, while still actually being effective for ME to use too would be ideal.
TIA!

I started using it with my son when he was 2 and he loved it!
I used a video called Yoga Kids to introduce my kids to yoga and it let me get my exercise in with them. It was recommended to me by a friend who is an instructor and they loved it.
We have a Wii and we LOVE playing the sports games together. I have a 13 yr old daughter. We "compete" at tennis, golf, etc.
The Wii Fit is due out anytime and we intend to get it as well. Our family has really enjoyed the Wii and Wii games.
Do you have a playpen? I sat mine up in the living room with me and my kids learned to watch me exercise until they got old enough to participate.
Have you looked into the local YMCA? I don't know where you are located but they usually offer childcare as part of the membership. They also offer pricing based on income if money is an issue.
Good luck!
I know the feeling. My docotr has encourged me to go to the gym and work out like cardio. There are some thingskeeping me from going. First of all I have 3 little girls. Then there's thing when my husband is getting out the military. He's been in for 15 years....
Hopefully they will let him do he 20 years but, who knows. There is a playroom here at our base. I take all 3 of my girls now with me to the gym. There is a tv and a slide in there for them to play on while I do my cardio. I just had surgery on Wednesday so my docotor encourged me to continue doing cardio so thats what I do...
I don't know if this is helpful ffor you. I know that going to the gym can be very epensive. Do you have anyone that can watch your daughter while you do yoga?
Go get the Wii and the Wii Fit (it comes out today)! The two total will cost about $350, but WELL WORTH every penny!

I especially like the second one! Good luck, S.!
Parent's has two workout videos: Mom & Baby fitness and Mom & Toddler fitness. They incorporate your baby - SO fun! I think you can get it at Target.

Hey S.,
How about incorporating you daughter into your yoga routine. I know that there are children's yoga DVDs, but I don't know the names of them. I think it would be easier to do your yoga with your daughter.
try an upbeat dancing workout. I use turbojam, it has fun music that the kids can dance to while you are working out. It is an infomurshal, but you can get it a beachbody.com, but there are others out there.
Look at www.netflix.com
For example this is one of many http://www.netflix.com/Movie/Yogamazing_Yoga_for_the_Kid_...
I like the Yoga Kids DVDs. They have one that is an alphabet yoga. It has a pose for every letter of the alphabet. The istructor is great and there are a lot of kids on the DVD. If you do the entire alphabet, it is actually a great workout too! I got it at Target.
Helo S.,
There are SO MANY videos out there to choose from. Some of my favorites are from http://www.mycatpaws.com/
I've been using these for years for my preschool students as I am a PE techer. God bless!
