Hi E.,

I had blinds installed by Tim Grange ###-###-####. I am very pleased with the results. He was quite reasonable and offers a variety of styles/budget-levels. He works out of east Richardson, but covers pretty much the entire Metroplex.

If you are willing to measure the windows yourself you can save alot of money. You can take the measurements to Home Depot and they will cut mini-blinds for you in about 24 hours. Or you can order a variety of blinds from blinds.com and have them shipped to you. They do very good work as long as your measurements are good. All you do is measure the width and heighth. It's not very hard and they don't have to be exact to the 1/16" or anything. You might Google "blinds" and see what's out there.

IKEA has blinds too but of course you have to do it yourself.

A lady at my work just built a new house and got Home Depot to do her blinds. For $30 they come out and measure all windows, and if they cut a blind wrong they have to replace it at no extra charge (they charge you if you measure). She got 17 windows done for about $550 (for the 2" wood blinds). Hope this helps. I would just make sure whoever you get will do the replacement free if they measure or cut the blind wrong (she had 2 they had to redo).

We used Amy Hedeman for our blinds. She's very easy to work with and inexpensive. Her installer was quick and knowledgeable about the product.
