Need an OB-GYN

Dr. Pamela Dorne out of Hinsdale is fantastic. She has been parcticing 23 years and delivers at Hinsdale and LaGrange hospitals. She works alone and delivers all her babies. She takes on a smaller work load in order to give her attention to all her patients. I highly recommend her. Her info is on the Adventist Hinsdale Hospital web site. See Physician referral.

I go to West Suburbans Women's Clinic in Willowbrook on Rt. 83 & Plainfield Rd. I highly recommend this practice. It is 4 female doctors, and 2 midwives. They refer to Hinsdale or LaGrange Hospitals. I had to see all 4 doctors during my pregnancy, and loved very one of them.

I went to the offices of Roth and Zucker, which are located directly east behind Yorktown. There are only 2 doctors in the practice (which is a miracle these days) and only one of the two will deliver your baby. Roth is very high energy and Roth is pretty laid back, but I really liked both of them. Their phone is ###-###-####.

The OB/GYN I go to is a practice of several female doctors and a couple of female midwives. The practice is called Midwest Women OB/GYN and they are located in Downers Grove in Good Samaritan Hospital. They always treat me with respect and never make me feel like I've asked a stupid question. While I like all of the doctors, my favorite is Dr. Avala, but they truly are all great. I would recommend a midwife to you. They are known for all the qualities you are looking for. West Suburban Midwives are in Oak Park. They do deliveries at West Suburban Hospital. I would actually recommend you consider seeing a midwife over an OB/GYN. I loved my midwife from my last pregnancy. I saw Shirley Moore, CNM, in River Forest. If you are interested her office number is ###-###-####. Even if you don't want to travel to River Forest you may want to look into a midwife closer to your home. I think you would be very happy with the personalized care and attention most midwives give their patients.

I highly recommend Elaine Cheng and Naheed Akhter in Downers Grove ###-###-####). Both are excellent and they deliver at Hinsdale Hospital. I live 45 minutes away and have used them for two pregnancies.
