Start looking quick as many daycares have a waiting list. One in Huntington Woods is a year!

Congrats on the baby. What part of town are you looking for a day care? East side? West Side? North? South? We use Tyndall in Berkley, MI.
Look for a center that is NAEYC certified (it stands for National Assoc. for the Education of Young Children). It's a highly respected organization in the early childhood education field.
Also, when looking at childcare centers, go to www.michigan.gov and find the childcare/day care centers link. You can look up a specific center and see what type of violations or incidents it has had.

I took my son to Ms. Dee's Dee's School House in Oak Park when he was 6 weeks old. When I say that your baby will be comfortable, safe, well fed, looked after, changed on demand, stimulated, napped good, treated good I mean it. She is very relaible, economy conscious, and reasonable. She also excepts FIA vouchers and 4C's vouchers. She is state licensed and has a very child friendly home.
