Drs Alani, Brown and Rozina through KU Med West are all three absolutely wonderful. I have not one bad thing to say about any of them, their office staff is wonderful and the kids adore them. KU Med West is also a wonderful place in general, they have all sorts of doctors there along with an urgent care facility as well, and the nice thing is that these places are all tied in together, as well as KU Medical Center, so they all can pull whatever records they need very easily....like if your kiddo breaks his arm, they don't need to do X-rays more than once :D (Or your husband breaks his arm--we've had both in the last 5 years)
We have seen plastic surgeons, osteopaths, general practitioners and pediatricians, oh and an urgent care doc. All have been excellent.
They are off 435 and Midland, which is the next exit south past Shawnee Mission Parkway....###-###-####.

Good Luck!

I take my son to Johnson County Peds. It is right by Shawnee Mission Medical Center. They have several dr's to pick from and they are all nice. Wonderful hours, same day appointments and walk in times too.

We also go to Johnson County Pediatrics, right by Shawnee Mission Med Center. We see Dr. Brian Nelson, who has been rated one of the top pediatrians in town. Our son was born 7-weeks early and he was great throughout the whole ordeal. He's funny caring and will answer all your questions. They have a great staff of nurses that answer the phones and will try to answer any questions you have about your kids....food, sleep, is this normal?

Hi D.,

I have Dr Paul Brown at KU Med West in Shawnee, we all love him! He has a great hand with little ones and knows how to do with older ones as well.
He is the kind that won't prescribe unless really needed and will see you or receive your call if you call him. And he won't make you spend any extra money just because.
Hope you like him too:)
