Can anyone tell me the best way to clean your metal burner inserts on a gas oven ???
i usually do one of the following depending on the level of yuckiness! let them soak in hot hot water and soap then scrub like mad. or use oven cleaner on them. or scrub with hot water and a good sprinkling of salt. once you get them clean, line them with foil before you stick them back on so next time you just have to change the foil!
If they are not to bad I actually use Mr. Clean it's a degreaser I spray it let sit for 3/5min then clean away.. I also use it on the vent parts of my microwave & all the grease comes off it's great & you can buy it at dollar general, walmart, kamrt pretty much any store.. It they are to bad I use Easy off spray on let sit then clean..
Great question! I, too, would like to know. I have used easy off, elbow grease, baking soda scrubs, soap and water and there are some areas I just can't get to.

The only thing that has worked for me and worked REALLY well is to boil them in bleach...big pot on one burner...boil all the pieces for like 15 minutes. Then when you take them out (with a tongs) put them in cold water to cool them down a bit and then scrub them with a scouring pad. It's super easy at this point. As soon as you have one done, reassemble the next burner on the oven, put your pot back on and boil the last burner insert from the one you used last. Sounds like a hassle but works like a charm!
