Hey moms, I am looking for one of those neck pillows for a carseat/travel. I saw one at an airport before and didn't think I needed it, and now I need it I can't find it! We put my preschooler in a high back booster and she still falls asleep in the car with her head dangling! Anyone know where to get it? I need it asap so actual stores would be nice, not websites. Thanks so much moms!

What can I do next?

My husband is a performance driving instructor and race car drive. He advised me against using one for our daughter because if there is an accident the neck could be " hyper extended" and cause serious trauma. Re: the booster....please go to you tube and search "5 point harness car seat" and please please please watch the first video posted by kcmillerfamily. ( I am not connected in any way with the Miller family, but found this video to be VERY informative)

It's not recommended to use anything that the carseat doesn't come with. The pillow can go down their back and if you get into an accident then that creates more space for the neck to whiplash back to. Plus it wouldn't help her head from falling forward. It's just a natural thing that happens.

They have those pillows at Target. They even have kid size, I bought one for my son.

i got one for my daughters at walmart and kmart. They are in the baby section, in the same isle as the backpack harnesses and things like that. But i will say that i dont think they work very well. Both of my daughters heads still flopped down after they had them on. So i always have a plush blanket with me, and after they go to sleep, i put the pillow around there kneck and then i prop the pillow up with the blanket for extra support...

I got neck pillows at Target. They were made of fabric, filled with the little beads just like at the airport, and came with matching washable pillowcases. In the meantime, you can prop your preschoolers head up with a rolled-up towel or baby blanket.

I really like the "total pillow". I don't have one yet, but my sister does and it's great! They got it at Walgreens.

I know you mentioned you prefer stores but I just ordered two of these and I got them in 2 days from CA to MO and I love them.

I really like that the section that goes behind the neck is so narrow that it doesn't push their head forward.
I got the medium size for my two girls 5 and 6 and they like them. Their heads usually stay upright but can sometimes still flop forward but the pillow catches them so they're not slumped all the way over.
