There are many variables. Depending on how many children, their ages, hours per day or per week and the training and experience the nanny has. I can tell you my mom is a very experienced nanny with cpr certification and child care development education, she works with one baby girl, she makes 15.00 per hour plus an allowance for benefits per month. She doesnt work for a rich family just a family who's priorities are child care. There are nannys that work for 10.00 per hour for one or two kids also. It just depends.

The rates vary depending on many factors. We typically refer people to our site (www.GoNannies.com) because you can view (for free) the actual salaries of nannies (as well as housekeepers, senior care, etc.) who meet *YOUR* exact criteria. Once there, just click SEARCH NOW and input your criteria to view their full profiles, including desired salaries. In general, we typically see average rates (for live-out) between $10-14/hour (or $400-600/week). More experienced and older nannies may often draw a higher salary than average. Again, your specific requirements will best determine the range, and even given that, some will usually fall outside the range (in both directions). Best wishes!

I've read it really depends on what you expect of them. If you're talking live-in with house cleaning/laundry etc thrown it then around $600 or more a week. A nanny who puts in a "normal" work week around $500. Au Pairs on work visas who come here exclusively to "nanny" around $300 a week. Also many placement services require an application fee and a and placement fees.

We've always paid around $600/week for a full-time nanny(this is for a "legal" nanny). Plus you have to pay taxes on top of that and other benefits (paid vacation, sick days, etc.). This is for about 45 hours a week, including driving kids to/from activities and doing some household tasks, like laundry and grocery shopping.

I've heard mostly $600 per week and up. Au pairs are another option (it's a little different from a Nanny, but legal and live-in) and they average out to about $350 per week (usually there is a larger up front fee, and then a stipend is paid every week). Let me know if you'd like more information on this option.
