1. Raleigh. Spell it right so she doesn't have to spell her name for every single person she comes into contact with.
2. Cadence is a girl's name. For a boy, I agree with the others, it's Caden.

How should I spell Cadence for a boy?

If you want to pronounce it Raleigh, like the city in North Carolina, exactly the spelling you've suggested is great. If you want to pronounce it Rye-lee, a lot of spellings are popular. I personally would go with Reilly, but there's also Riley, Rylie, etc. Of the two pronunciations, I would recommend going with Raleigh. It's pretty-sounding, it has some history as a place name, if not as a personal name, and it's unusual without being made up.
I've never actually heard of Cadence being used as a boy's name, though it's pretty popular for girls. Caden (without the "ce") is popular for boys, as is Cade. The name that's somewhat similar that I personally love is Canaan.
Do you mean Raleigh like the city, pronounced Rah - lee, or Riley, pronounced Rye-lee?
Cadence is a girls' name. I like the other posters' ideas of using Caden, which is a boys' name.
Here's a somewhat snotty sounding answer (but I don't mean to be snotty):
You should NOT spell Raleigh for a girl, or Cadence for a boy. Raleigh is a BOYS name and Cadence is a GIRLS name. Don't do your children the disservice of naming them things that will call their gender into question. There are just too many names out there to saddle your kids with gender-bending misspelled names.
Raleigh looks right. Cadence is a girls name, but Caden is a boys name.
Do you mean like Raleigh, NC? Spell it that way, but it sounds masculine to me. Cadence is a girls name.
Agreed with others, Raleigh pronounced Rah-lee, spelled like it should be! And Caden not cadence for a boy. Or Camden? I grew up with an often misspelled and mispronounced name, and its no fun!
I imagine the spelling for Raleigh would be the same.
I would change the "Cadence" spelling for a boy, because when he's five the kids will be likely to call him "Candace." How unusual do you want to make it? Kadenz?
WELCOME TO MAMAPEDIA!!!
You can spell it however you want. Just keep in mind that if you spell it too outlandishly your child will be FOREVER correcting people on the spelling and or pronunciation or their name.

So the question back to you is this - do you want your child to be correcting people on HOW to say his or her name or how to spell it? Or worse - being made fun of being kids or even adults will say - "what kind of name is that???"
If you want your child to be able to get personalized gifts when you go on vacation - the traditional spelling will be the best route to go!!
Congratulations on your baby!!! Welcome to mamapedia!!
GOOD LUCK!!
My daughter's friend is Ryleigh.
Spell it how ever you want. You will receive posts about not giving unique spellings. My daughter is Sofia not Sophia and at the beginning of each school year we have to gently remind the teacher to spell it with an F and then there is no problem. It's really not a big deal to have to correct someone on the spelling of the name.
However you want.
My oldest daughter's name is Jenavieve Renae. We call her Jena.
My youngest daughter's name is Bailey Jo. We usually call her Munchkin, lol.
If you spell it Raleigh please pronounce it like the city and the man for whom the city is named -- RAH-lee, not anything else. If you use the spelling but expect some other pronunciation you're condemning your little girl to a lifetime of correcting either the spelling or the pronunciation or both. Simpler is better.Like others who posted here, I think of Raleigh as a masculine name since it makes me think of Sir Walter Raleigh. If you mean "Ray-lee" or other pronunciations use spellings closer to how the name would sound. Love the look of Raleigh as a name but only if it's pronounced the way most who read it would tend to pronounce it -- RAH-lee.
Cadence sounds feminine to me, and reminds me frankly of the old-fashioned female name Prudence. Do you think Caden would do? (Pronounced CAY-den.) Caden is very masculine and is an old traditional name that works well at many ages. It's being used more these days but still is fairly unusual.
By 'Raleigh' are you pronouncing it like the city, Rah-Lee? Then spell it the way you did above.
Did you mean Raw-Lee? That is a male pronunciation, usually spelled Rowley. I don't think you can girl that one up, particularly since it is the name of a popular male character.
Did you mean Rye-Lee? The name is usually spelled Riley regardless of gender.
To make the ultra-feminine name Cadence (kay-dense) into a masculine name, you can change it to Caden or Kadin.
How you spelled Raleigh works fine for a girl. Cadence doesn't work for a boy, I don't think. It just sounds like a girl's name no matter how you spell it. I could see Cayden for a boy, though. Would that work for you?
I would spell Raleigh just as is. The kid won't have to spell her name out for everyone her whole life. I love it by the way! Cadence sounds like a girl name. Camden, Cameron, Kayden, Kayson, Kingston sound more for a boy:)
cadence is a girls name. i would go with caden or cade for a boy. but if you like the name for a boy then try kadenze, k-dence, kaydence, caydence
for raleigh is it said rah-lee or ray-lee? if its said ray-lee then here are spelling choices-
raylee, raylie, rayli, raylea, raelee, raelie, raeli, raelea, railee, railie, raili, railea.
if its said rah-lee-
rahlee, rahli, rahlie, rahlea, ra-lee, ra-li, rhalee, rhali, rhalie, rhalea.
Not sure how you are pronouncing Raleigh? If you are going for (Ri-Lee) there are countless options. My cousins spells her name (Ri-Lee) Rileigh, but I have seen Rylee, Ryleigh, Riley. As for Cadence I have no idea.
People often do not know how to pronounce "Raleigh."
Cadence, is spelled like that per the dictionary.
Do you know the meaning of "Cadence?"
The definition of it?
I like Raleigh, I would assume it is pronounced "Rah-ley" so if thats what you are going for, perfect. If you are going for "Ray-ley" pronunciation, I would spell it that way- Rayley, or Raley, Raylie, or Raylee (like all the spellings for Hayley but with an R). I think Raleigh is very pretty for a girl ("rah-ley") even though it does make me think of the town and Sir Walter, it is still very feminine and pretty.
Cadence, I could see it working for a boy if you spell it different than the girl way (which is, Cadence). Maybe Kaydens, Kadance, or Caydence???
