A jogging stroller probably won't be too wide for shopping, but you will be giving up lots of extra space - baskets, etc..
Hi Moms, I am looking to buy a double stroller for my daughter and soon to be. I would like to get a double stroller and have been considering getting the Double Bob Jogging Stroller. I am concerned that it may be too wide for shopping. Any feedback or suggestions for another great stroller would be appreciated.

I have that same stroller and for us it has been the best stroller (I have had at least 5). It is wide and will not fit through narrow doors. If you are shopping at the mall - it is fine because the entry to the stores are open, but if you mean regular doors - sometimes it will fit and sometimes not. I am selling mine (my babies are 5 years old now), so if you are interested in a used one, please e-mail me at ____@____.com. Regardless, I do think it is a great stroller and I have several friends that love theirs as well. Hope this was helpful.
I own a double bob jogging stroller and love it...i use it at the stores the only time I have issues is at the mall in the clothes stores because they place the clothes racks to close together for even a single stroller to fit through:) the stroller fits through a normal door opening and manuevers awesomely....as for waiting until your youngest is four months old that isn't true they have an attachment that you can use with you car seat carrier....good luck:)
I don't have a Bob double wide but I do have a Bumbleride all-terrain single. It's a great stroller but it's wide for shopping. All except the a compact stroller is tough. When our son was first born I was using a snap and go with our carseat. Those are pretty small and I still had trouble with clothing racks, dressing rooms, and places like Pottery Barn. Also keep in mind that if you are going to use a stroller for shopping you will need a large basket underneath to carry stuff. You won't be able to deal with a cart or hand-held basket along with a double stroller.
I don't have any advice about that specific stroller, but one other word based on experience. It's good to check out what is available right now, get to know what design you like. However, you won't be able to really use the stroller until your youngest is at least 4 months old. I would strongly recommend waiting to actually buy the stroller until then. They come out with new models pretty frequently and you might discover one that you like even more a little down the line. Good luck!
are you looking for a jogging stroller? or a shopping everyday stroller? I have a 3 year old and a 5 month old. We have a jogging stroller, but its TOO wide, we also have cheap Graco sit and stand stroller that is much thinner and workable to walk in the neighborhood and take to the mall! The baby in her carseat attaches to the front and big brother either sits or stands behind her. When the baby is bigger, the attachment where the car seat goes, changes to a lap tray and she sits like a regular stroller.
Hi S., congratulations. When I was pregnant with my first we purchased the Phil&Ted's E3 single. Now that I am pregnant I am going to purchase the doubles kit. It is an additional seat that can be added on. What is great about this stroller is that it can be used with a newborn and a toddler or two toddlers. The main seat seat lays completely flat for a newborn. The add on also does not add any more width than the original stroller. Good luck.
I haven't heard of that brand so I cannot comment on that one. However, several of my friends have purchased double strollers that are VERY hard to push...especially around corners. My sister got me a Graco double stroller and I have used it and LOVED it for several years now. It holds up well -- I have 5 children. It is easy to push and turns corners easily. Make sure that the jogging stroller will fold up to fit in your trunk to go places. Many of the jogging ones don't....
My friend has a single BOB stroller and now she has two children. I automatically thought she'd get the doublewide BOB stroller but she didn't. SHe said it was too wide. She got the one that has the seats stacked behind each other. I don't have personal experience since I only have one child right now but I thought I'd pass on what my friend did. Good luck!!

I love my double jogger (though I think any stroller is too wide for shopping). It will go anywhere a wheelchair is able to go. But, I wouldn't use it for shopping personally. If I were shopping, I would use a front carrier. But, I used my double jogger almost everywhere else. I don't have much use for it anymore, but it was sure handy when I did need it. My friend had one where the toddler could get up and down easily, stand or sit, etc. in the back. It looks more like a normal, single stroller but has a bench on the back. If I had to do it again, I would definitely consider that one.
