I still have 15 LB's to lose. Daughter is 6 mos old. I am so ready for my previous size. I'm at the gym 4 days per week and making healthier choices, but no change on the scale.
Anyone out there tried JC? I'm tempted to try her out

I had a couple of friends that tried it and did really well.
The pre-portioned food can be expensive.
I haven't done JC but have had great success with Isagenix. The average person can lose 5-15 pounds in 9 days. I lost 6 pounds and 12 inches in 9 days but started my period on the last day. Isagenix is a cellular detoxing program that helps you get rid of the toxins in your body and as a result you will lose pounds and inches. It is all natural and organic. It is for nutrition. Toxins are in everything. It is hard to keep the weight off until you get rid of the toxins because your body stores fat around the toxins to protect your organs from the toxins. To learn more you can go to www.cleansedforlife.com, www.weightlosshalloffame.net (to see testimonies), and www.drspeaksout.com to learn more about the toxicity in our bodies. My website is www.bestworldhealth.net to view the products. John Gray (Men are from Mars author, Jack Canfield and several Dallas Cowboys(Emmitt Smith, Daryl Johnston, Roy Williams and Def. Cordinator Coach). Wishing you the best.

N., I worked for Jenny Craig when I was younger, and I'm currently on Weight Watchers. Both programs are good, but I would recommend WW. Unless JC has changed much, and fron what I understand it hasn't, they will sell you foods to eat that will lower your weight, and it does work. However, my experiences with clients was that when they stopped eating the JC food, and started eating in the real world, they gained weight back. WW however, teaches you to recognize the "value" of the foods you eat, so you can still enjoy dining out and cooking at home but eat more intelligently.
Hope that helps. I've lost and am maintaining from 163 to the high 130's , low 140's since last March.

Hi,
Congratulations on your new daughter! I have 2 daughters, 5 years old & 3 years old. It is really so fun!
You might try the Cinch Program by Shaklee. It has worked great for the people I know who have tried it. It is super easy to follow, too and healthy. You are getting the vitamins & minerals that you need, too. It helps you retain your muscle and lose the unwanted inches. Shaklee is a phenominial nutrition company has fueled 54 gold medalists & 82 world class athletes. Plus, they have more than 100 published studies & clinical papers on individual ingredients. I wish you success with whatever direction you go!

No, but I've done Weight Watchers with great success. You can do it with meetings or on-line. It teaches you healthy eating habits. JC works, but it involves buying their food which is very expensive. Good Luck

I have done Jenny Craig before. The food was good and I did lose weight, it was just very slow. What I have found that works even better and I'm happier is Boot Camp. Sounds tough - - but it's really fun and the only thing that I have ever stuck with. I'll forward the website to you. . . . http://www.bootcamp4women.com
Lets try this again, one of my best friends lost a bunch of weight (but subsequently had a baby) she is back on it again and is thinking about becoming a consultant. So I know she knows alot about the program, etc.
her email is ____@____.com
I hear you. You're not the only one! Are you nursing? I am, and so I can't effectively diet. My hubby is gone all the time, so I'm having a hard time getting out to exercise b/c my 4 year old wears out when we're walking or its been too cold for my 6 mo old.
I've thought about joining a gym, but don't want to committ to a 2 year contract. (in case we move). Let me know what you find out. I dont have the money for JC or WW.
I just realized that we are so close to summer and I'm still wearing some maternity pants! I love the fact that they use the elastic waistbands, but I didn't think I'd still need them after 7 months!!!!
I know how you feel, I feel just awful. If I could just lose 10 lbs, I'd be satisfied!
I did JC last year and lost 15 pds in 3 mnths. It was great for me because I don't mind eating frozen dinners like lean cuisines. If you don't like preprepared, packaged foods, then you might not like it. The weight loss is slow- .5-2 pds a week but I've kept it off! They help you learn how to eat out and be more calorie smart. I recommend JC!
I did and liked it a lot. My son is 5 months old and I was in the same boat. worked out a lot and ate healthier but no change on the scale. I did JC for 6 weeks and lost 13 lbs. I think right now they have "lose 20 lbs for $20". you should try it.
I have done JC five times in my life now. Each time loosing over 50lbs. I have tried it after college ( alcohol weight and pizza) I have done it as a single working traveling woman and I have doneit after each child. I am still on my matience program there and have since last october lost 88 lbs. I am almost six feet tall so dont think I was like this huge oaf or anything but I still had alot of baby weight to loose. I am a huge beliver in it, I have some tricks of keeping the costs down too if you would like to chat about it email me and I will tell you all about it. I do not work for JC but I am a huge believer in it! I have a great consultant too who I just adore better than anyone I have ever had! Good Luck

Dear N.,
I am not able to comment on Jenny Craig but I can tell you that Weight Watchers helped me get over the plateau. I had 60 pounds to lose and just seemed to get stuck at the last 20. It turned out I needed to eat more(within my points) to pump up my metabolism. What I liked about weight watchers was that it taught with real food. I didn't have to buy their stuff. It retaught me about good food choices. I can definitely highly recommend WW. It sounds like you are doing great. Good luck!
I had great success with JC. Lost about 20 lbs but the food is only so-so.

I did JC after my son was born for a few months. It helped me drop inches more than weight. I droped like 8 inches all over. Once I stopped I gained a feww back, but was overall happy. Besides, the meals are easy and good...and I never had time to cook.
Just a few words of comfort... I held that 15 extra until month 8 and honestly - it fell off. My doctor said your body will hold it until ready to fully recover, be patient it will come off. My sweet baby is 11 mo and I am finally back to being myself!! Best wishes.
I haven't tried Jenny Craig but I am currently on Weight Watchers. It is the easiest diet for me to stick to. I have been on it for 11 weeks and have lost 21.2lbs. Of course I also had more to lose than you so you may or may not lose as fast. My husband is on it with me and he has already lost 20.8lbs. Good Luck in your efforts.
The concept behind Jenny Craig is to teach portion control. If you already know how to do that you'll probably not enjoy the program. They serve really good food, though, but in tiny portions. They make you eat a snack, and I think it's bizarre to pay $3 for a baggie of cheese doodles. Similarly, the granola is $3, if I remember correctly, and there's nothing special about it so it equates to about $30 for a box of plain-ol' cereal. THAT stresses me out. HOWEVER, if you can go on their pre-packaged plans you won't see what you're paying for the little things, and their food is WAY better than anywhere else. They actually have prize-winning chefs create their entrees.
Good morning,
Those last few pounds are always the trickiest to get off! you are on the right track with exercising several times a day but you are right... if it's not partnered with good eating habits, then you are not getting full benefit of your exercising. I have never done Jenny craig or Weight Watchers. Im sure they are good programs. My only concern is you want someone to guide you to healthier lifestyle choices. The lessons they teach and food they recommend you eating... can you continue it on after the "program" is over. If not, then I would hesitate. The weight has a higher probability of coming back if they are habits ou cannot keep. i recommend seeing a registered dietitian.. one that believes in lifestyle changes and food being a good thing! I have a friend who is fantastic! Her and her family just moved to Louisiana though but she does phone consultations. She's amazing. Here is her website... http://www.yvettequantz.com/
Best wishes to you!
I tried Jenny Craig several years ago and I really liked it. The food is delicious and I lost the weight that I wanted. After you lose your target weight, the counselors will teach you how to maintain it which is helpful. Good Luck!
