My sister is getting married the end of April...she wanted to even her skin tones before the wedding, so she was looking into Mystic tanning...she was told it would come off onto her clothes...if you have done this and worn a wedding dress...did it come off noticeably? She does not want to ruin her dress....

Thanks,
K.

I've never done it, but I've heard so many people who have and said that it came off. A friend of mine wanted to look a little darker for a pool party, and she sat with her feet in the pool up to her calves. When she pulled her legs out, she was half tan and half white because it came off!! I've heard that if you sweat it runs a lot, and everyone that I've heard talk about it said it rubbed off onto their clothes. If she wants to get darker that badly, just tell her to tan a couple of times.

I would advise not to. If you sweat (and you always do at your own wedding!) it will come off on your clothes. I would try Jergens lotion that has the glow in it or do the old fake bake at the salon..much better choices. Tell her good luck and have a blast!

I LOVED mystic tanning and didn't look orange at all. HOWEVER, I did notice that it came off on my clothes during exercise. Just to be safe, I would avoid it. You don't that stuff coming off on a stark white wedding dress...

DON'T DO IT! It will come off on your dress...plus sometimes you can look really orange especially with a light color dress on. It comes of very easily. I love it, but do not even attempt it with a wedding dress on.

What I would do is maybe go tan a couple of weeks before the wedding for just 5 minute intervals to get a "glow".

DO NOT DO mystic tanning ... I totally second that. I would however HIGHLY recommend Sun FX. Here is a weblink to take you to the places in Texas that will do it: http://www.sunfxusa.com/locUS.aspx?in=US

Have her do a test run and make sure it will not rub off on her dress by wearing something white. I have used it at least 10x, and I did not have any marks on my clothing after the first 24 hours.

It is much more natural than mystic, and it is painted on by a professional, so they know where to highlight and where to keep it light.

Good luck & Congrats to your sister!

Hi K.. I highly recommend your sister NOT doing it! You're going to laugh, but I did Mystic Tanning the day before my brother's wedding, in which I was a bridesmaid, and I was completely orange! I ruined all of their pictures because I looked terrible! It was really sad and pretty embarrassing!
I love being tan, so I'm always looking for ways to be "tan" without the sun. I represent Arbonne International, and we carry a product called "Made In the Shade" self-tanner with SPF 15. I had been working a business with Arbonne for a year now, and I had not tried this particular product because I was scared that I would be orange! But, my friend who lives in Seattle, was telling me how much she loves it, so I decided to give it a try. It's awesome! It's the absolute best self-tanner I have ever used, and I think I've tried most of them! If you're intersted, you can check out my website at: www.mandyolsen.myarbonne.com or www.arbonne.com. I'd be happy to let you try some for yourself too before you buy. Just let me know! Good luck!

My advice is not to do it. I didn't care for it when I did it. It's more a hassle than anything. If she is set on it though then do it at least a week before the wedding. The dress should be fine then. If by chance it does come off on the dress then have it cleaned. It washes out of the clothes.
