Does anyone out there know of a playgroup or something in the Albuquerque Area. My son is a little over two and we don't know anyone with kids his age. I'm a videographer and filmmaker and he is home with me while I work or goes with me to the office when I work. He just hangs out with me and his dad. He needs a chance to get out and really have fun.

There is a playgroup put together by some of the women at the church my husband and I are a part of. They usually meet around the east-side of town on Tuesday mornings. If you're interested, email me! I'm a mom of a just-turned-three-year-old and a seventeen-month-old. We haven't gone this year so far, but all the participants are dear friends of mine and I'd be totally willing to go.

Hi M.! You would love the Rio Rancho SAHM meetup.com group. It's a really fun group of moms and kiddos. We do tons of things.
You could also check out the Rio Rancho MOPS group. It's a wonderful, caring group of supportive women.
Good luck! You're doing the right thing socializing your 2-year-old. This is when they're really starting to get old enough to play with others and form friendships!

I know what you are going through! Kids need playmates who are their own age, and moms do too!
Have you heard of the Albuquerque MOMs Club? It is a group of stay-at-home and working mothers in the Albuquerque area with children ranging in age from birth to school-age. There are chapters all over the city based on your zip code, and if you choose to join (there is a $15 annual dues fee) you will be placed in a playgroup with other mothers and children who are around your son's age. Check out the website for more info. I joined when my son was about 5 months old (he is now almost 2) and have really loved it! Aside from my playgroup, which meets weekly, there is a monthly calendar of events with lots of activities to do with other moms and kids in my area, so we are never bored or in need of playmates.
