I miss your Peter, and Ive never even met him.

You deserved so much the happiness & kindness he brought you, and he was truly the luckiest of men to have had you in his heart & his life.

I am so deeply sorry, Michele. I wish you could have had each other longer, for true. I wish I could reach through this phone and give you a giant hug, & plate of brownies for breakfast, and that words could fix anything.

Thank you for telling us. Tears came to my eyes because my cousin with whom I've shared a home for 20 years also died 3 weeks ago from cancer. It's so hard to watch our loved ones in pain and so hard to see them die while glad the pain is over.

I've been with both my parents and now my cousin when they died. It is marvelous to feel the peace that is present. And an honor to be with them during those last few days. Family came and I felt so much support.

The way you speak of Peter makes me believe in soul mates. You have shared with us the precious gift of your love with him, and I thank you for that.

Cat I am sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you. You will be in my prayers throughout the day.

I am glad the hospital honored your wish to be with him until the end. They can be so mean about knowing what is best for you sometimes.

I wanted to see my father when he passed and they refused me to see him. It drove me insane until I saw him.

We believe in seeing our loved ones until the end and lately the funeral homes like to ask us to leave. We just walk about 20 feet away and stay there.

Today is my wedding anniversary. As I celebrate the love my husband and I have found with each other, I can't imagine ever being without him and that made reading this lovely tribute even more painful. What a beautiful, loving wife you have been (and will always be) to your Peter. While my heart breaks for you, I am also happy for you both - that you found each other and lived your love for the time you had. I wish you comfort and peace in the difficult days ahead.
