My Empty Nursery

I am having trouble finding quality nursery sets (ie: grow-with-me crib, changing table, chest of drawers, and dresser) that don't cost a bundle. I am willing to spend between $1000-$2000, but am not having any luck with finding what I want. I am looking for something modern and contemporary in a dark wood maybe espresso or chocolate. Any suggestions would be awesome.

What can I do next?

You could try Babies R Us in Mobile, AL...It's a little ways to go for baby furniture, but they have a great selection and are reasonably priced.

I went there and got a convertible crib that turns into a toddler/day bed and later into a full size bed with foot board and side rails - and a changing table/dresser for about $800.

I got mine from JC Penney online and it is really nice, I went with the cherry. It is the crib that converts to a toddler bed and then to a full size bed. Everything together cost me around $1,000. Hope that helps! :)

I spent close to $500 for both the changer and crib together. Here's the link to the cribs at Target - mine is the Da Vinci Emily in Oak. It's a convertible crib that goes from baby to daybed to full size. http://www.target.com/gp/browse.html/ref=sc_fe_l_3_###-##...

Here's the changing table: http://www.amazon.com/Changing-Da-Vinci-Baby-Furniture/dp...

I liked the oak/pine colors but I think they come in a darker color too. I didn't want to spend sooo much money because I figured I'd be wanting something different when he's older anyway! lol
