My little girl is teething and will not drink her bottle, she is eating rice cereal(mixed with formula), fruits, veggies and some meats, but she wont eat anything that is warm. I have tried putting her milk in a sippy cup and I tried even giving her cold milk and she just wont drink it. I am getting very frustrated because I do not know if she is getting enough nutrients in a day. I dont know what else to do!

What can I do next?

I actually also have a 91/2 month old as well. She has been teething also. My daughter was doing the same so when I took her in for her nine month well baby appt. I asked them.... They told me it is only becuase she isn't feeling well and if you think about it when we don't feel well we don't like to eat either. It is good that she is getting it in her cereal. My duaghters teeth popped through and she is back to her old self eating 32oz a day of just formula not counting any food...my little piglet.... ha ha Hope this helps..

The act of sucking hurts some kids when they are teething. Try cutting a bigger hole in the nipple so she doesn't have to suck so hard. Be careful that it isn't too big or she will choke. It's been awhile since I have bought nipple's, it's possible that they sell nipples with bigger holes for older kids.

When do you normally offer the bottle? It would be wise to offer it when she is the most hungry, rather than after a solid food feeding. I was trying to look up for you how much milk a child that age should get, but my babies are crying right now, so I can't take the time. Best of luck.

You could try "momsicle" - freeze some expressed milk into cubes and let her suck away. There's neat mesh-bags sold at most stores for this too.

Good luck!

That is when my daughter stopped nursing. It was sad for me as she was my last and I wanted to nurse her forever. Sounds like she is getting a good rounded diet.

Relax and enjoy this phase. W.

Sometimes letting them suck on a popsicle (use homemade water ones) prior to eating the bottle numbs up their gums enough to be willing to eat.

Have you ever heard of hazelwood necklaces for teething babies? They are an old native american remedy to help with teething pain. The hazelwood apparently has the property of absorbing the body's excess acid. We just discovered them and they have been a miracle for healing our 7 month's old eczema(they help with a variety of ailments from teething, to eczema, to acid reflux; all associated with excess acid production) and helping with our just turned 2 year old's teething (he's gotten like 10 teeth in the last 3 months including 4 molars..he was a late teether) The necklaces are designed to be safe for babies to wear in case that's a concern. The website where you can get them is www.hazelaid.com
If you curb her teething pain, she may be more likely to drink her bottle without any problems.
Good luck!

I would wait until she was hungry and give offer her the bottle first. She should be drinking a bottle first before eating solids anyway.
