Why have you not taken him to the Dr. A consistant fever warrants a trip to the Dr. to find out what's going on.
My 3 yrs old son is getting fever upto 102 almost every week since last month.Fever lasts till 3-4 days sum times less. Is this matter of concern or is he just building his immune system. I m just concerned abt d frequency of the fever. Plz help
Sorry. Didn't mention it earlier dat his doc says that he is building up his immune system. Last time & dis time as well fever was for just two days. He is in pre-school. He is active child & keep playing even when fever is high. Shud I take another opinion

What does your pediatrician say?
why not ask a real live doctor?

Well I'd take him in and have him checked just to be sure. But during the winter months especially, my little ones would fight something off that was going around. If the fever goes down with ibuprofen or acetaminophen and he's still functioning ok (participating in things fine) I don't think it would be too serious - if it's going down on its own without antibiotics, etc.
Is he in daycare or preschool or that type of thing? something was always going around ours.
Just keep an eye on things like ears, poop etc. just to make sure there's not a lingering infection.
If he's ever listless or lethargic, or not himself - take him in.
Good luck :)
This was not normal for either of my kids. A fever every week for 3-4 days? For 3 or 4 weeks running? It's past time to take him in to see a doctor.
"Up to 102" is a little vague - how often is it 102? Is it sometimes 99.5 or 100.2? Those are pretty low, but over 101 is a bigger deal. How often is it 3-4 days, and how often is it less? It sounds like you are tracking it, which is good. "Just building his immune system" is an interesting phrase. I work in immune system support and I've never heard food scientists refer to a frequent fever as being a great idea. So you really need to give this info to the pediatrician, and have your child checked out for a low-grade (or worse) infection, ear problems, and more. Meantime, push fluids as much as you can.
have his urine checked, that was the only symptom my daughter had but no one tested her urine till she was 8 when they discovered she had kidney reflux and now has only 9/10th of one kidney and 3/10th of the other.
every doctor just said if fever is the only symptom it's just a virus
Dear, I had a caught that had a fever every week younger then three. Make sure the child dies not have ear infections that he does not complain about. Another thing is strep throat that does not hurt, you can continue on with strep throat for a very long time.
You need to take him to a doctor. My guess he has an infection of some kind.
