I would think as long as she is wetting her diapers, and when she crys you see tears then she is fine. Just watch for signs of dehydration. I was once told that children do get fluid from foods not just from drinking. Keep a cup of something out for her so if she does decide to drink she will. At her age she might want to be in control and if you push the issue of her drinking she might just fight back. Best of Luck to you.

My daughter is doing EXACTLY THE SAME THING! I'm so glad that you asked this question. I can't offer any sage advice except to say that my daughter will be 1 year old in a week and a half and has been getting more and more difficult to get her to take fluids for the last couple of weeks. I have offered everything - pumped breast milk (her primary liquid), formula, water, and a variety of juices. I have been trying to get her to eat as many juicy fruits as I can in hopes of getting some liquids into her that way. If you come up with any solutions, please let me know. Good luck.

Is she drinking water? Can you make a smoothie with milk and then she may "eat" it? Milk can be put in breads, pancakes and all kinds of foods that you prepare. You don't necessarily have to drink your nutrition!! Don't worry, it sounds as if she is doing fine.

hmm, my son went through that when he was her age, or younger. have you tried a spoon? i know its not the easiest way to do things, and the cleanest. but, he took my breast milk often on a spoon fed by my husband. sometimes they like change.. ?

Try a funny shaped straw? or take her to Friendlys and get her a milkshake with oine of their cool straws?. There are also cool, fun sippy cups that she may liek to pick one out herself??.

Good Luck
