Music That Won't Drive Me Crazy!

Hi everyone. I come again to you ladies, and this time to keep me sane. We will be driving to California this year for Thanksgiving, which means about a 14 hour drive. Usually, as I drive my son to and from daycare, I sing to him. My "playlist" is limited as I don't know many songs, or can't think of the rest of the words. This list barely lasts the 15 minutes to daycare, so I know that it won't last 14 hours.
I am looking for suggestions of where to find sing-a-long songs like the ones I grew up with. We had a mom that would come in with a guitar and had a book of songs like Home on the Range, She'll Be Coming Around the Mountain, etc. I can sometimes get a verse, but don't remember most.
Also, if anyone has any suggestions of kid-friendly CD's, that would be great too. I had bought "The Little People" CDs, and I only get through about 15-30 seconds of a song, and have to turn it it off after about 5 because it is so obnoxious.
He really likes to dance to certain songs on the radio if he is in the right mood, but they are so random, I haven't figured out if it is a specific song, or just his mood.
If it matters, he is still rear facing, and I do get carsick, so some of the more interactive ones, we may have to do at home - but I would still love the ideas.

Thanks for any and all advice!

UPDATE: I appreciate the suggestions for the DVD player and have even been offered one for the trip, but our son has never watched TV. We don't plan on starting it anytime soon, and definitely not introducing it in the car. I know that this will probably be helpful in the future though, thanks!

So What Happened?

Thank you everyone for all the suggestions. I had been procrastinating about the "They Might Be Giants", but with the prompting, I went to iTunes and downloaded 2 of their cd's, also Raffi, and Laurie Berkner. More than I wanted to spend, but I think that these will become more fun for him as he learns them and as he gets older. Plus, I think I can actually take them for long periods. I will update after the trip to see if Dad could stand them too. :)

Just a few:
Kindermusic.com has a great list of books with music and sing a long activities that you can do.

Laurie Berkner is a favorite child music collection in our house - often featured on Nick Jr.

Choo Choo Soul, my son's favorite since he was about 1 and a half (he is four now). You can get a CD?DVD combo pack on Amazon.com

They Might be Giants have a great kids album.

Never met a child who does not love listening to the good old Beatles, much of their music is simple, engaging and kids love the stories.

Last one, promise, there is a great blog called Cool Mom Picks and she has an extensive listing of great kid music..

I love the Twin Sisters Cd sets. They are fun, have all the songs we grew up with, but are also on the soft side. There are even ones that are for bedtime and help put the kids to sleep.

If you want to find some of the older ones, I found Disney favorites # 1 - 4 or 5 i can not remember, but it is the songs like bicycle built for two, and the green grass grew all around, and coming around the mountain etc.

Good luck with the trip.

Our library has so many great cd's to choose from. I would start there and check out a bunch to "test out". Raffi doesn't drive me crazy (in fact I turn him on even when the kids aren't with me!- A true test!).

I would also suggest that getting a portable DVD player to watch movies on would be another "lifesaver".
