Check into the MDO program at the Valley View Christian Church in Carrollton, Texas. Beth Frink is the administrator. The church is located on Marsh Lane, between Trinity Mills and Frankford.
My 3 year old is in desprite need of some child companionship as she is an only child. I am new to the area so I don't really know any other people. I was thinking of enrolling her in a Mother's Day Out program a day or two a week. Does anyone know of any that are affordable and safe in this area?

My 3 year old just started last fall at First Methodist Grapevine one day a week and we love it there. In the fall he will do two days a week. I have also heard great thinbgs about Chapel Hill at White Chapel methodist in Southlake and Spanish Schoolhouse. Let me know if you have any questions!
First United Methodist Church in Hurst has a pretty highly rated program. So does Tarrant County College but they generally have a waiting list so contact the director on this one asap for sure. Also have heard nothing but wonderful things about Discovery School in North Richland Hills. Most are doing enrollment right now for August start so I'd definitely research right away.
I have a 3 year old daughter who goes to North Richland Hills Baptist Church for MDO (Angel Land) she LOVES it! I really would recommend it as it is a very impressive program. Check it out on the internet.

The City of Arlington's recreation centers hold a program called "Preschool Playhouse" for 3 year olds and for 4-5 year olds. It is only 3 hours a day, 2 days a week (Tues & Thurs) from 9 am - 12noon. It is wonderful! They learn just like a preschool would, make crafts appropriate to the seasons/holidays, sing songs, read, play, etc. My son is enrolled at the Cliff Nelson Recreation Center and he loves it! Can't say enough good things about it. My son was in the same boat as you are with your child and he had always been home with me and didn't get much interaction with kids. I tried this out, since I thought it would be an easier transition than going all day long when he had always been home with mom. But he loves it so much that I have kept him in it and will until he reaches Kindergarten. The other days he is home with me and his 17 month old sister. Can't wait til his sister can join too!
My kids go to Kids R Kids in Las Colinas. I know they have some part-time options, and you couldn't find a better preschool. To get her prepped for kindergarten, I definitely recommend a school that follows a curriculum instead of a mother's day out.
Don't know exactly where you are, but Church at the Cross in Grapevine is GREAT! I have had 2 kids go there, one "graduated" and the other still attends, and I used to teach there. Great program, great staff, clean, awesome!
