How about a short list of the reasons why they love their Mom? You could frame it or make something out of the list? Just a thought. I did that for my mother a few years ago and she loved it. (I am in my 40's) Good Luck!
Hi everyone,
As I am searching through tons of sites, I thought maybe I could find some help here. I am looking for a mothers day craft(something pretty simple) for 10 year old girls to do. (12 of them) I think doing something with handprints/poems might be to young for them. Any other ideas?
Thanks!

I know it is cliche and has been done a million times, but my mom loves the stepping stones our daughter and her cousins made 2 years in a row.
Yes, My mother has 6 of them.. they make a nice walk way through her front garden. The sets can be purchased at Craft stores.
We added marbles, polished stones and Milagros, then they each "wrote their names and placed their hand prints in them, we added the year.. ..
I am all about consumables, because they don't contribute to clutter.
How about some chocolate dipped pretzel sticks, or a basket of fruit kabobs. You could have them churn some butter, or flavor up some butter (i.e. pecan maple, or garlic and chives). Flavored oil is nice too and decorative. Soap is another option. You can make glycerin soaps and put a small token something, like a sponge cut out in the shape of a heart inside.
Anything can be presented for mother's day, so long as it comes from the heart.
Good luck to you and yours,

did you try pinterest yet? It's tough to search but sometimes you can stumble on some great stuff.
THe first thing that comes to mind is getting a mug or plate from the dollar store and supposedly you can use a sharpie and write a message on it and bake it for a certain amount of time and have a lovely keepsake, can't remember if it is safe to eat off or not. I did try this, and DH put his mug through the dishwasher and it came off, but that could be user error on our part. I"m sure craft stores might have some sort of paint pen that would work on glass or stoneware.
I've seen ceramic tiles with pretty napkins modged podged onto them to make coasters.
Those girls might enjoy sewing a craft for their moms. little felt pocket tissue holders.
got to run if i think of more i'll add it.
One of my favs was one my daughter did last year. They put poems or mother themed thoughts on scrapbook paper. They then put them in 5x7 acrylic frames designed to sit on. . . whatever. They were easy for the girls because they designed the little gifts then they just slipped in the frame. I hope I am explaining this well and not confusing you more. There was a group of about 7 ten-year-old girls plus three other little kids. Super cute!
Paint pottery
Paint a small blank square canvas.
Make her earrings w/beads & hooks (they have the kits at the store)
Decorate an apron w/iron on letters and handprints
Decorate a frame w/beads or shells.
Decorate a white platter w/permanent ink markers.
Draw a picture & put her name on a mug w/perm markers.
We are doing the thumbprint craft down the page.

Someone sent me a bookmark they made..... she said she had her grandkids make them for their mothers for Mother's Day....
Anyway, it was a length of strong cord, and beads.... they tied a knot at the top, and at a point a ways down (to keep the beads from getting inside the book), then strung several large decorative beads/drilled and polished stones, then tied another knot. You could also use the very thin ribbon for that.
