I just found out I'm pregnant with my second child. I'll find out exactly how far along I am at my first ultrasound next week but I think I'm about 8 weeks along. I feel nauseated most of the day, not just in the morning but pretty much all day long. I'm not actually vomiting, although I think I would rather throw up and atleast feel better for a little while afterward than to have this constant lump in my throat. I didnt feel this way with my son. To top it off I'm feeling very guilty that I just dont feel up to doing as much with my son. Usually we do play dates and story times but this last week I just couldn't bring myself to do that. I'm hoping people have some suggestions to help me that dont involve taking medication. Is there any all natural ways to feel better? How long does this last? UGH! HELP!

What can I do next?

Congrats first of all!! I just had my third!! When starting off this pregnancy I was working full time...Which was horrible. I found that one getting alot of rest was helpful. It warded of that I wish I would just throw up feeling I had pretty much all day. Also the other thing that helped was Ginger. One of my co-workers was this little sweet thing from thailand. She insisted one day I try one of her ginger candies. I looked at her and said no way I cant stand ginger to being with and now you want me to suck on this thing...It worked the best out of anything I had tried though. So, I kept a jar of them above my desk. They sell them at asia markets or in the ethnis section of most food store. They are just little chewy candies wrapped in a rice paper that yes you do eat with the candy. Honestly mine didnt go away completely through my whole pregnancy. I know thats not what you want to hear at the moment. It did get better at about 17 weeks. I had gas like you wouldnt believe though with it. At about the same time evry night I was just start farting...(tmi) My hub would ask me to step outside they were so bad at times. I learned they were worse depending on what I ate that day but there was nothing I could really do to get rid of the problem. It got better about 25+ weeks in. I would also agree with nibbling on crackers. dont let yourself get to the starving point. It only makes it worse. Saltines are going to be your best friend!! Anyways I would love to tell you this to shall pass but I wont lie to you. It will get better the further along you are. Good luck!!! and congrats again!!

I had "morning," more like all day sickness, with both my pregnancies. The key is to not let yourself get hungry, which can be difficult, but also don't eat too much at once. Keep crackers or a snack nearby at all times, even by the bed. Whenever you start to feel sick force yourself to eat something small. When you are busy, especially with another little one, it isn't easy. The good news is that it will probably be over with the first trimester, especially since you didn't have it with your first. Some things that I was able to eat included: saltines, raw unsalted almonds, 7up with sherbet :) cinnamon toast, chocolate milk, bland cereals, oatmeal... Everyone is different so hopefully some of these will help you. I know preggy pops and ginger have been known to help other people, but I haven't had much success with those. Hang in there and remember it won't last forever. I was counting down to the second trimester.:)

Before you get up in the morning, eat a few crackers.......
I personally don't know if it really works, buy my mom did that and it worked for her.

Congratulations! I had same problem with both of mine. It shouldn't be called morning sickness when it lasts all day. I felt better by 12-16 weeks. Try drinking ginger ale, Sprite, or Coca Cola(not Pepsi). These helped me some. Also, I didn't feel nauseous while I was eating so don't let it stop you from eating. I felt nauseous from morning to bedtime but didn't actually feel sick if I was eating or drinking. Good luck.

I had a lot of ginger tea..just sliced some ginger root in hot water. I also found some aromatherapy oil for nausea which I carried w/me everywhere. I was this way the entire 2nd pregnancy. Hope yours doesn't last as long!

K.,

Nauseation is no fun especially when you have a little boy who likes to play with you. You will love what I have! Pretty much it is the ultimate prenatal. All moms, myself included, have noticed that all of the "woos" of pregnancy lift because first, it has a 98% absorbtion within the first 20 minutes, and it actually gets the nutrition to the cells where it is needed for a healthy mom and baby. When our bodies are receiving the nutrition it needs then we don't feel sick and our energy level is up.

I would love to help you out some more. I have a policy to personaly talk to all customers beforehand to make sure this is the right nutrition for them; you can contact me at ###-###-####.

Best wishes,
