I have no idea but i'd be interested in finding out
Hi, moms. Anyone know if there are any mom/baby-friendly theaters that periodically show a movie that you can bring your baby or young kids to? Is there any kind of "Mommy Matinee" program in the Valley?
Thanks!

I think Harkins has a baby-sitting service - I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for. If I remember right, your child has to be 2 1/2 and potty trained.
Check out Harkin's Thater's Summer Movie Program. They are great! They are a packet of 10 movie tickets. You pick what day of the week you want to go and you go at 9:45am for 10 weeks. They are all children's movies and the TOTAL PRICE for all 10 weeks is $7!!!! You can not get in if you are not with a child, so the theater is full of Mommies that totally understand. Plus at less than $1 a ticket, you don't feel like you wasted money if you have to leave in the middle. It is a great way to introduce little ones to the movie theater. Tickets go on sale soon for this summer (some schools are already pre-saling them). Some theaters sell out fast.
I'm all about the Harkins deal. April 17th is the day to buy tickets.

AMC Deer Valley in conjunction with the Austim Society offer a "sensory friendly" film once a month for kids with special needs. Just means the lights are not as low, the volume is not as loud and there are now previews. We go because my son is autistic I don't think it's a requirement. It's at 10am on the first Saturday of the month.
It's definitely an environment that would be tolerant of little kid noises.

this would be interesting to find out. I wonder if its more likely to happen in the independent cinemas. I know that Chandler cinema is having a family friendly Easter boutique on April 11th. It would be great if they did family friendly matinees on that day too
