Dr. Simmons and Dr. Stephens are great. They are both in the Mercy Health North. The only complaint I have ever ha there is the billing.
In Mid West City Dr. Dehn is an awesome family doc but too far for me.
I was just wondering if anyone loves their pediatrician. I am looking for one in the Edmond or OKC area. I would like one that is good with teens too. I have a 13 year old son that I could use some help with from a doctors point of view. Any doctors you can think of would be great. Thanks again,
Deb

We love Dr Krittenden at Mercy Health Edmond. He's very gentle & patient. He's also good about answering your questions before you ask them, which is great for a new mom.
Hi Deborah! I live in the Yukon area but use a doctor at Baptist Hospital...The Pediatric Group. His name is Hamed Albiek. I believe he is from Turkey. He is the absolute best doctor in the world! He's very understanding and gives a lot of information to you. He is great with my son. Unlike a lot of doctors lately he will be very honest with you concerning medications and always tries to do what is best for you and your kids not only physically, emotionally, but also financially!! Look him up! He's great!!
Our pediatrician is Dr. Dooley of the Pediatric Group. She is located in OKC (56th and Independence). I really, really like her. She is very professional and thorough. My kids are younger, but I'm sure that she's good with kids of all ages. I know quite a few people who go to her and like her as well. You can look her up, or any of the other doctors, on www.pediatricgroupokc.com. Good luck.
It's a bit outside of Edmond, but we drive to Guthrie to see Michael Elliott. He's been our boys' pediatrician for 8 years. My oldest is now 23, and since Elliott is board-certified in internal medicine too, he doesn't have to give up his doctor. He got us through some very tough times with my oldest, diagnosed his cancer when we had already been to another doctor.
I have had to wait in the exam room for him before, but the wait is ALWAYS worth it. I noticed something once, that he doesn't wear a watch. He said one time a patient saw him look at it, he felt horrible, and took it off and never put another one on. So he never makes me feel rushed. He's also really, really good at explaining stuff.
The downside is that he only schedules "regular" visits in the morning. The upside is that he has ALWAYS been able to see my family the same day when we are sick, because his office leaves the entire afternoon open everyday for same-day sick visits.
The drive is about 15 minutes north of Edmond, but it' worth every minute to me.
We have used Dr Berry. Since our daughter was born. He has been great with her hospital stay at a week a hip infection at 15 months. Countless ear infections. He works with Mercy and is across the street from Mercy. He is great he treats my daughter as if she is his favorite paitiance. I have a co-worker who takes her son to him as well, she has nothing but good things to say about him. He really listen when you talk. He does make you feel stupid when you ask questions. He takes time to answer any questions you have. He has also stayed late to see my daughter when she is sick and I can get off work early to bring her in. I have been very happy with him since Penelope was born a little over 2 years ago. My friend son was born a year ago. He strated private practice 2 years ago this pas july. Before that he worked with DHS children. So he has seen it all. He is a wonderful doctor and my daughter loves to see she giggles and play with Dr Berry and he play with her back. She enjoys to going to see him - his nurses are a different story (they give her shots.) His number is ###-###-####.He works with Dr Freeman and Dr Parrington
I take my 2 kids to Gerald Dickman. My niece went to him and the reason i like him so much is that he has Saturday AND Sunday clinic and that is much relief when you have a sick kiddo, it saves you a trip to the ER, you can just call his clinic and show up, no appt needed. He is wonderful about giving out pamphlets regarding everything you would need to know. He's not one of those docs who will just call something in for you, he prefers to see you since you never know when something else is wrong that he might find. He has a GREAT sense of humor and my kids actually like him so that's a plus. Good luck! Oh, wait, he's at Baptist in Building C. . ###-###-#### . ok NOW Good luck!
We use Dr. Stecklow and LOVE him. He is so great with the kids and he has a SUPER staff as well. (I think that means a lot!) He is located at 3613 NW 56th Street, and I believe the building is Three Corporate Plaza. The number is ###-###-####. I highly recommend him! Good luck with your search. You might make a few appointments to speak with different physicians to see who fits with your family the best!
Do not use Dr. Bondurant. I have him now and am switching.
I take my son to Dr. Jesse Campbell and we LOVE him! He is so good with my son, is very knowledgeable and is not too conservative but does not over medicate. Two of my friends take their children there as well and they love him too. He is currently at the Integris ProHealth on 15th and Kelly, but starting Nov. 1, he will be at the new Mercy Clinic on Santa Fe and Danforth.
I have recently switched to a new pediatrician named Dr. Parrington and absolutely love her. I only have one daughter who is 2 that goes to her, but she is great with her. I was recommended to her by another friend and have since recommended her to others who have gone to her and loved her.
She is also in practice with 2 other doctors, both of whom we have seen when my daughter has been sick and they are very kind and professional. She is located at Meridian just South of Memorial Road (by Mercy hospital)and her phone number is ###-###-####. I hope you find a great doctor!
We love Mickey Crittenden at Mercy Health Edmond! His nurses are always very nice and friendly too. My almost three year old actually likes going to the doctor because of him.
Hi Deb, I have a 2 year old son who sees Dr. Tim Krous. He is absolutely WONDERFUL. I am sure that he would be wonderful for your teenager as well. We are planning on taking our son to him well into his teens. He is located at Village Center Pediatrics on Kelly and COvell in Edmond. His partner is Dr. Tammy Machino and she is wonderful as well. They cover for each other when they are out of town and I really liked her as well. The phone number there is ###-###-####, hope this helps!
