Hi,
did you ever find childcare? I too live in the Oakland Park area and am due in July, so will need childcare two days a week when I return to work in October.
Thanks.
M.
I have a 17 month old daughter and I am looking for a really good daycare here in Ft. Lauderdale, either Riverland Area or Oakland park area. Any advice would be greatly appreciated..

I would highly recommend Paradise Childcare located at the WorkforceOne bldg on Oakland Park Blvd ###-###-####. The director there (Ms. Tracey) is very good and has a wonderful and loving staff. Stop by and rake a look you will be surprised.
Also check out Jack and Jill right on Broward Blvd going east past I-95.
If they don't have space let me know and I will recommend another.
I am not sure if this is too far from your area but we use an in home childcare in East Plantation/Ft. Lauderdale. Message me privately if you want her info.
My son attends Pride & Joy Learning Center (on Prospect near Andrews). He started in the summer. I really like his teachers. I have also heard good things about First Methodist Church downtown.
Downtown choices are: TutorTime, Happyland (Presbyterian church on Las Olas) and First United Methodist. We chose First United Methodist, but visit them all and see what you like. TutorTime allows one hour of TV and 30 minutes of computer time per day, we thought that was way too much screen time. Good luck!
